eh only LTA or tiger squads stop people with heavy mods... TP dun usually do that.. they seriously dunno much about pipes and mods except tinted visor or colours headlights LED etc.. there was once i was stopped by a TP together with a fren riding RVF with yoshimura and me GSXR600 with arrow and fake silencer.. cant believe that staff sergeant yes he drives that rex and he accuse my fren yoshimura of no silencer and me with a fake one he didn say anythin even after shining his torch light in

 

=.= since when yoshimura for 400cc are with silencer piece..

 

 

 

lets hope he do.. cos i learnt mine, was charged to court fine 500 for speeding.. and now ridin kup slow and steady lol singapore traffic rules r solid no one can escape no matter is LTA or TP best is keep ur bike stock and ride safe and with the correct documents if not even if u escape law enforcers you might not be able to escape death.. there s a reason why certain rules are enforced

No time and no money to renew insurance and road tax? Then better prepare time to attend court and pay fine. U might cause harm to other user if involves in accident. I don't mean to be nasty, but such irresponsible people really deserve to be taken off the road.

Ouch. You should take a bus to go there. Sorry but high chance your license is gonna get revoke. MP don't help much. Eyes of the LAW is.. WHAT if you got into accident on your way there? There is no insurance coverage and you will die like a frog. Sorry to say due to your laziness you took a ride there.

 

I was in your shoe and i took PUBLIC transport because i treasure my license. Not here to flame you but all you need to do now is keep at least 1k for court fine and be prepared to buy EZ-LINK.

 

Don't tell us you don't know the penalty for driving without Insurance. We all go through Highway Code.

Hi guys i really need your help.

 

today, (17th Sept 2012) I was on the way to my bike mechanic to renew my insurance + road tax.

my insurance expired on 16th september 2012. I only managed to do it today as I was busy with my final year project

+ financial constriction. Anw, I was about 500m away from my mechanic when this joker tp stopped me.

so technically, i was caught for riding without an insurance + road tax. I apologised to him and told that I was on the way to get it done.

he said he understood but its the law etc and told me to wait for the letter.

 

May i know the outcome of this situation? I was barely a day late for renewal and I managed to get it renewed within 5-10mins after I was caught.

 

Is there any way to justify that it was an honest mistake?

 

I got class 2b,2a and 3... dont want to lose all

Tp are also human ) TS caught the TP on a bad day. i was issue a warning letter for speeding at 107km/hr on my cub. it act as a wake up call, if not i will be $130 poorer

Just a quick update regarding my case.

 

I went for an interview with the inspection officer and was told to wait for their reply.

 

Thank god when the letter arrived, i was charge with riding without road tax only and not for riding without insurance.

 

Thus, my license wasnt revoke but i was slapped with a $1000 fine.

 

Am still happy as compared to getting my license revoke + fine.

 

Definitely a lesson to be learned here: Dont freaking procrastinate and dont mess with the law (2 longest months i had to endure thinking bout my case)

 

dont give up hopes even though some of the comments can be quite depressing (saying comfirmed revoke etc)

I believe that before getting the first basic in doing the tp theory exams.....not forgetting class 3 also have. Which mean to put in, you must had gone thru at least not once but twice in a row for further understanding of traffic laws by now.

 

There is no way unless going easy way out like thinking there is no harm riding to get insurance done. hack care attitude that confirmed there is no tp stop me one......

 

Even so want to save abit here and there, you could take a bus there or worst case you could take a walk to your nearest preferred insurance outlets. Surely it could not have one only. o.o
