Hello Brotherz,

 

I am planning for a 2 day 1 night trip up to Genting with my girl friend.

 

I would like help on the follwing stuff.

 

- On the way all the Petrol station till Genting and each stops distance.

- Nice hotel to stay in (Safe for bikes)

- What activities can be done in Genting.

 

Hope anyone with these details can pump up to me??

Sorry for the trouble guys.

 

Or any advise for me before my trip??

U need to tell us ur ride bro.

 

Mostly if u planning for a 120-150km in between stops... You may ride as follows.

 

Petrol kiosk.

1) Pagoh RnR

2) Ayer Keroh/seremban RnR

3) petronas after sungei besi.

 

After petronas follow route towards Kuantan. You will enter Karak hway. Next You will meet the Genting sign after that, jus follow it up the hill.

The hotels are filling up fast. I suggest you book your hotel first. It seems only the Theme Park hotel has some rooms left. I've have booked my room there for 30/11 and 1/12/12. I'll be going up with my wife. You and your gf are most welcomed to join our trip there. If you need more details, kindly pm me your contact no.

suggest stop @ Ayer keroh R&R (A&W Overhead Bridge), abt 220km from 2nd-link, coz its approx. halfway tru KL.

 

If too frequent Pit-Stop, u will feel tired n feel as if the distance is Veerryyyy Verryyyyy long.. so more time will be wasted on stops rather than travelling..

 

with your bike n speed, u shud not have prob..

 

 

 

Golden rule when stopping along NSHW/ R&R:

 

NEVER LEAVE your bike unattended

 

Always have them in sight, even goin to toilet(as pillion to lookafter or park @ kiosk-counter( dont take ur time @ toilet)

 

Eat/drink infront of your bike if can

 

NEVER STOP on RD Shoulder unless u tink its safe for u to do so n render help to other biker..(if got 2 pple on 1bike stoppin,or ask u to stop, THINK twice) (happen to me, but i dnt bother stoppin, abit fishy,summore @ night)

Just wondering what's your cruising speed to genting? How about the wind blast? Can tahan till genting?

My Cruising speed was 120km/hr CONSTANT unless overtaking or safety-reasons(need to clear from Vech n ect), Overtaking speed up to 140km/hr..

 

Been up with & without my pillion plenty of times.

 

So from GP Esso, i rode with the above speed all e way till Ayer keroh R&R (A&W Overhead Bridge), abt 220km from 2nd-link.(Abt 2hr from GP Esso)

Pit-stop awhile..Then Pump n continue till Genting Highland.

 

Just dnt stop too often, waste time.

n dont Stop at all, Very tired (even if u can tahan, dont risk your safety)

when Touring, Raincoat is a must ofcoz.. So does the TyreRepair Kit,SpareFuse,Toolkit,cable-tie,map/gps..

 

Just to name afew, alottt of things U shud be bringing for sure.. But do take the most essential item along,unless U can bring all the other spare item along..:-D
