FU plate is newer than FR. maybe 2 years difference? not too sure but FR plate only has about 3 years left on COE and FU still has about 5.

Most of us will let go of our SPs after a year or 2 means we will be selling our bikes with only a couple of years left on COE and that plays a big part in the price. COE costs a bomb mind you. imagine you are selling your bike that only has 1 year left on COE. most pple will shun the offer.

and i have an announcement to make. I HAVE SOLVED ALL THE PROBLEMS ON MY BIKE ALREADY ! MY FC IS SATISFACTORY NOW ! WOOHOO !

current COE is a bomb..

renewal COE is calculated based on the past 6 months (i think) COE prices for new motorcycles and the average is taken.

so maybe half a year down the road, renewal COE may be cheaper (: all depends on the COE for the next few months.

so what kind of FC are you getting now? :cheeky:

i am getting 220km before hitting reserve ! huge improvement from the 160km i was getting.

u know how to see the difference between X-ring and O-ring? i went to Rk's website to check and the box with my chain that i bought from LAB had a GB infront of some numbers which meant it was X-ring but i did not sit infront of the mech to make sure he installed that exact chain. I went down to agl to ask and they told me its O-ring. ravensp you know ?

Posted

spchoo: i think for the 'normal' xring rk chains, they have XSO printed on the chain itself.. it should be gold in colour....

and if anyone sponsers me the movie tix, i'll go!

just :offtopic: a lil.. im kinda sad. im getting around 14-15km/litre now. and thats without opening throttle much. fook!

basically there's no difference in the plate like FR, FS, FT, FU the plate symbolise the year the bike is registered eg FR is about 2009/2010, FS 2010/2011, FT 2011/2012, etc..

mine is a late FR(9***) COE til 2010. and the newer the plate, the price of the bike will increase by 100-200 or even more.

eg a FU stock SP vs a FR stock SP, the FU definitely higher price than the FR cos it's newer.. other than that.. nothing much liao..

hope i'm helping u in something and not crapping away..

u mean COE expired??

cos u said 'symbolise the year the bike is registered" but goes abt sayin e likely year each plate coe expires...

KeIsUkE: did u lock ur back seat properly?? mayb ppl saw u didnt lock properly n ur seat so nice they jus take together wif ur fairin...then they change almost e same design as ur bike its cheaper for them :giddy:

it cld b possible for previous owner like wat rideslowly said...bt unless its a private sales n e previous owner knws where u live..hw likely e previous owner were to meet their bike again PLUS e spare key wif them at e same time??

ps: oh i wrote wrongly n noone correct me :p

FR earlier than FS then FT n so on

wat protective sticker for the handle bar u talking about?? handle bar got protective sticker meh? or wat u mean is the carbon fibre look alike stickers ah??

if dat is wat u mean, den go search a few pages back. we mentioned about it there.

and btw, different ppl got different liking for handle grips. im my opinion there is no BEST handle grip. its all up to the comfort of the rider. as for me im using PLAYLIFE grips. i like the rough texture of the grip. some riders prefer smooth ones.

What he meant i think is the one to paste on the spot just below the ignition keyhole,it's to prevent extra keys from scratching the handle bar area.. i'm looking for that too..

oh. like those tank protector that people paste to prevent your belt frm scratching the tank? regina a wide rang of tank protector as well as yoke protector, but i don't think they have it for SP. they usually cater to 400cc bikes and above.. there's progrip and another brand which i forgotten alr.
