Honda NSR150SP Riders

hi riders!

just some question here, hope you guys can advise me.

im thinking of what can be done to make my FC higher like what nickster say.

currently my full tank can go 160km only.

i pump shell 98.

what can be done to make my FC shoot up to 200km?

and do you guys know how many litre does sp full tank contain? plus reserve is add on 2L right?

If urs is stock condition, u may need top servicing. Check for wheels bearing oso.

Sp fulltank is 10.5L including 2.7L reserve. cheers

occasionally i hear like ee ee ee sound, squeaking sounds. seems to be coming from the wheels... does the bearing affects the fuel consumption?

 

Squat down on the right side of ur front wheel. then use ur left hand to push up ur handlebar until the front wheel is lifted from ground then ur right hand turn the wheel. If disc rotor warp will have eek eek sound. slightly is ok. to check bearings, just hold onto the fork while wheel is turning. if vibration alot means need change bearing liao.

remember to check if they use original gasket. sometimes they just use those sealant to cut cost then u risk having a leaky engine.

louisyhw ee ee sound is coming coz his brakepads rubbing the brake disc..

not a prob.. the previous owner bleeded the brakes but the mech adjusted the pads too close to the disc.. making them sound. juz need to loosen back alil.. no sounds heard after braking a few times.

and btw, im having this problem that when my rpm is above 4.5 to 5.3,

the bike will virbrate alot, i'll need to clear the rpm till 6 in order for the bike to be smooth abit. went to planet and tune, and again the problem come!

ah chong say its normal for sp, but i cant stand it uhh. if traffic jam at highway my bike will virbrate throughout the whole journey already. cause i'll be riding slow. what can be done to this? tuning only? (will the problem come again after months?)

 

and nowdays find that my whole bike virbrate damn alot. ride for one destiny to annother my hand numb liao.

and if i pillion ppl, they will complain that the virbrate is very strong. ( leg numb and backside numb etc. )

i heard of bike virbrate can be due to alot of things.

anyone can enlight me on which will cause the problem?

alot of factors for high fc...

eg. tires pressures also affect.. rider's throttle handling..

sp always vibrate at that range coz the valve is trying to open n close.. after 6 the valve open den smooth power comes in.

if at highway slow riding, bring down ur gear to maintain at 5+ - 6k rpm so tat ur bike doesnt vibrate much...

its also the rider's riding position n handling of the bike resulting in hands being numb.

wear gloves if possible for long distances 20+ - 30km to reduce numbness..

u can always meet out the sp riders n let them handle ur bike n give comments. =)

 

we juz did at giving louisyhw's bike comments juz nw...

n his balls shrunk when tPs n polis were ard the area with the ops "no way out" @ dam.. wahhahahaahhaahah....

pistons + rings ard 70-80, head gasket ard 20, coolant depends wat brand u choose.

killerv is the service charge. try to buy the parts and go jb fix better.

Bearings will save fc but seldom ppl will change unless totally chui,

front is cheap but the rear hub bearings cost a bomb..

another cheap method to try lessen vibration is to change to heavier handlebar balancers.

As for the 5K rpm problem is standard Sp issue.
