Hey guys, i just went to the bike shop and came back. The problem really lies with the piston man. It cracked and jammed. And there're some minor scratches on the block itself and the boss quoted me $600+ for the change of the whole thing. WTF lor.. I hear already damn pissed off can where got so expensive de. I asked them to sell me the piston only but they say dun have, comes tgt with the block. So i got frustrated and went to another bike shop to buy the piston then i went back and ask them to put in for me.

 

So after long hours of waiting everything was settled. But now the ride the bike the temperature is around half and it doesn't feel very smooth leh. Wad could be the reasons huh? Some advise me pleae ;(

Anw, i just changed piston so i need to run in right? Wads the run in sequence for SP huh? I only know for my aprilia nia.

Cuz ur block have scratches already. And did they do block polishing for u? And for ur temp... they got put coolant anot? If yes, maybe is ur block head that is not balance up.That y temp will go up~

 

Run in can stick with how run in ur aprillia lor~

u can run in at 500km or 800km or 1000km

up to u ,

try not to hit more then 80km.h

u can polish it..

 

i suggest u bring to another bike shop to have it properly check

Ya lor i oso regretted. But i was rushing for time and no time to think so much already. My cousin coming back this sat and i dun wanna upset him if his bike cannot move. At least i tell him piston jam but now i repair already then he wun be so frustrated ma. ):

Your bike still can ride? Let Dr Leong take a look at the carb bah - he has the jettings n needles, in case something is worn or wrong. Personally I won't take the risk with jets from JB - chiong jettings could be out of spec.

 

 

What one of these shops did to me ...

 

- Used RVF O-ring to replace a worn-out one on an RS250 carb. Now the whole damn thing pops out when the carb is opened.

- Shoved the airbox into the carb, and tightened the clip without checking if the manifold is fitted properly. It wasn't, and rainwater went into the carb.

oo same case.. the carb needle broke tats y will stall.. as in u ride ride.. cannot stop one.. once u stop the engine will die off.. after replacing i don think the problem come back..

 

for my case, 1 is u jus mention also got happen.... idling will stall... but the worse is that even when i was riding, the engine can just die 1 lo.... the bike will backfire when i do engine brake or when i force start when it stall...

oh ya... very funny thing here... intinally it started by me some symptoms... engine die off easily... i tought the problem might lies with me because i'm a very inexperience rider ma... so i tried to figure out but i cannot find problems... weird thing is tt i almost experience piston jam lo... bike suddely no power n i heard knock knock sound.

 

All thanks to garfield... he told me before if piston jam, got knock knock sound de..

 

so i suspect that my bike no 2t because i rmb tt i did not top up so a few weeks alrdy... i stop my bike in front of the bus stop... lucky the petrol station is like 1 bus stop away.. then i go buy some low smoke 2t( left 1 bottle nia) when i pour, the 2t bottle still left like one quarter.. after that no knock knock sound liao....

 

next day, bike die off when i was about to turn right to enter KPE. Somehow i force start it, then got the backfire sound, bo bian i just rode to work cos tow truck svc was not open yet... i exit Sim ave, when i was about to filter left... i notice the netural light blink lo... after the bike totally die off... i cannot even start... there's no neutral light, totally no response when i try to crank it... then really no choice i wait for tow lo....

 

I know that batt flat bike still can start de.... but the stupid mech insist that batt must change.. after he change the batt... the brightness of the netural light like no diff from my old de lei... so i just take it as doing normal maintenance for my bike.. next time no need to change batt liaoo....

 

the later part of the story u know liao... went jb to do.. change piston, change CDI etc( refer to my morning post ) haha...

oh ya i was caught speeding at KPE lo.... that day i saw flash... then i know it's me liao... i'm at dotted line, then lorry was on my left, a white car was on my right... so i trottle a bit more to over take them.... and right there i saw flash.... aiyo...

 

Anyway, damn lucky today i receive letter, and... it was a warning letter.... really thank god lo... if not kanna 4pts and $130 fine.
