I spent nothing. All I spent is just full servicing and engine servicing nia. And change my chain to gold chain. Total spent on my until noe for 6 months less than 500. Consider I got a lucky bike I own. But Coe ending at Jan 2012. Haizzz... And waitin for June class 2a.

hey guys, is honda sp really that problematic and unreliable? i'm currently considering switching from cbr150 to sp, but have been advised against doing so unless i wanna start pushing my bike on the road shoulder of expressways.. Opinions from you guys?

haha no lah not so exaggerated one. I think that motorcycle is like human body like that, if you dont take good care of your body, of course cui, motorcycle also like that. So if you get a good sp and take good care of it, maintain it well then it should serve you pretty well. just my 2cents worth.

Hey all! Im new to the forum but I've been riding for 10 months or so on my SP, manufactured year 2000. I'll be selling it off around May or June after getting my 2A license. It's still in awesome condition. I've been riding it daily and major problem free since September.

In the span of my ownership with this baby, I've changed:

- To a size 5(Phantom) battery for maximum power and stamina. Voltage is a heathy 12+(headlights on) and 14+ when revving

- Rectifier cause the old one burn out

- Fresh break pads(not pumps)

- Fresh Dunlop tires(super durable! Ride 4 months plus barely any wear, good grip on dry and after rain road)

- Rewired the bike in December 10 cause of a short circuit

- Throttle cable 5 days ago

- Strictly Motul engine oil(300v) and spark plug(NGK) every 2 months

- Motul 2T(strictly 710) every 1 month(more or less a bit)

- Average milage of 194.6/tank before hitting reserve(averaged over 3 months) Even when I pull throttle to clear carbon every weekend or more.

- Strictly Caltex 98(for milage and cleaning of engine). Pumped V-power and Petrolnas occasionally(once a month like that)

- Self designed decals and seat cover by me based on Ben Spies' Yamaha M1 in November

- Decals not lacquered over incase future buyer wants a nice clean jet black paint work(also by me)

- Stock pipe + not emptied. Unique and quiet sound for some reason. Of course not quiet like 400cc+ kind of bikes lah.

I admit that it hasnt been accident free in my time but it was a right side slide because of puddle so the frame/fork's not bent. It was just my fairings and footrest that got the damage. I've rectified the cosmetics of the bike already. :D

HOW TO PUT PICTURE?!

80km full tank is very bad, most SP's average around 200-240km (depending on riding style, expressway or city roads)... maybe ur carburettor jettings are worn out or the sizes of the air and fuel jets are not matched properly.... my sp used to do 140km for a full tank, now it does around 200++ after changing the jetting and tuning....

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap

wa 90 sia ... u ride how long ???

like that every time need to pimp sia

i stay in pasir ris, work at changi airport. so thru adn fro once per day i roughly need pump once every 3-4 days. There's the occassional pillion like 3 times a week to tampines? Is this considered very bad mileage for a full tank?

Oh ya, my friend said the mileage at the meter is in miles? said must convert to kilometer isit?

No because it's manufactured in Thailand, which follows kilometers. Japan also uses kilometers.
