Honda NSR150SP Riders

Just got my SP today. I find the pickup a bit slow as compared to the bike I used during lessons in BBDC.

Is this supposed to be the case or I never throttle enough?

Or I change higher gear too early?

And the bike stalls quite easily when I slow down and try to move off in 2nd gear at traffic light.

Anyway, I bought the Shell Advance VSX. Just go to petrol kiosk and anyhow buy. What is recommended?

 

Oh, can 顺便 guide me where to pour engine oil? What else need to top-up regularly ah?

for 2t > use bike key to open back seat cover,

under back side cover there is a metal piece to lift up , lift it up to release catch on yr rider seat

once rider seat is open , there is a bottle with a cap , u can pour yr 2t in

as for engine oil , i dun see a need to top up engine oil in to a 2 stroke bike

take note 4T(engine oil) and 2T oil is different oil...but SP need both.

yesterday went auntie shop buy motul 710 for 1st try 2t. not sure better than castrol racing 2t anot.. price increase by 9 bucks from castrol.

Lol, motul 710 is good la. But very thick, no point using if you never whack everyday. It will just contribute to more carbon deposit. Castrol power 1 racing ftw!

and my RPM cant stick to 5000.. must go higher or lower..

if not the sound like something wrong ~~

alright so, this is my 3rd day of owning SP. Daymmm... the power on this bike is amazing! Thought i was riding at 60km/h, but instead was riding at 120km/h. But the first day of riding is damn scary, stalled alot of times, but most of the time, is due to the battery... i think...

a lot of white smoke: 2 stroke bike burning 2t, its part of owning a 2 stroke bike... if its too smokey it could be your 2t setting too high or need to service pipe (decarbonize and repack cotton)

 

RPM must be above 5k RPM: sp is built like that, valve only opens above 6k RPM, anything below and its only half open, leading to the going to die sound.... rev hard and the bike will reward you will better pick up, top speed and also higher fuel consumption....
