Is it common for the left pedal (gear pedal) to come loose?

I have to tighten it every few days because it kept coming loose.

What could be the problem? Missing washer? Or not tightened enough?

Place a washer from the tightening end..

Just now I ride my bike, on the way to petrol station.. at traffic light, it die off due to my clutch control i think..

But when i try to start it back, it can't start.. I kick till leg want to break liao also cannot start. den lights all also got problem..

I try to play with the gear lever, i can't feel there is 6 gears also..

Anyone know what is the problem?

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

hi bro, i would recommend against buying bike from shop... i think its actually better to buy from private seller.... some shops promise you the world before the sale (full servicing, warranty) but after you pass them the cash their after sales service sucks... external condition may be good but engine condition is crap, and when you go back while still under warranty, they do a half-past-six repair job....

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap

Most important is if u buying ur 1st bike. Dun kan chiong spider let them brain wash. If u r patient a good bike will come along.

No point asking which shop is a better choice. eg. The good shop others recommend may only left with the worse condition bike available for sale. Will u still buy from them?

Sometimes bike shops do have good condition bikes. Mainly reason is previous owner upgrade/downgrade and cant find buyer for his old bike or maybe find it a hassle to do transfer privately and willing to let shop settle once and for all.

Like wise private seller's bike doesnt mean it always better. And most dun give u warranty or watsoever.

If u bought a crappy bike from shop, at least u can go back and make a fuss. But if a private seller most likely gg-ed unless u noe them personally.

As for after sales and warranty, it all depends on ur relationship. Most provide this so called warranty is to cover labour and workmanship or even towing for free if in any case the bike breaks down during the agreed warranty period. Do note the bike is around 10 years old technically speaking there isnt any warranty. Good or lousy repair job is down to the mech.

Like in ur siggy

A shop may not have a good mech or good salesman but sells things cheap.

A shop may have a good mech with excellent skills on repairing bikes or salesman armed with a parang etc

agreed.... my friend had bad experience with a shop he bought his SP from... before buying they promise him the world, full servicing, new IU, rewrapped seats, change foot rest... but after 1-2 months the problems start surfacing... no IU, rear brake kit not working, throttle cable need to change etc etc...

after taking into account interest and loan duration, total cost of my friends SP was 4k...

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap

Dats y mustnt be kan chiong. If they promise to change things, dun let them have a chance to say eg. now item xyz no stock nvm u ride back 1st when it come then we call u up to fix. etc. Insist on everything is done b4 pushing out bike. Most of them LL will rush cos they 1 u to collect it fast. To have space for other bikes to bring in for sale.

4k is steep.. But no choice cos he needs the loan. So keyword is Dun be a kan chiong spider when looking for 2nd hand bikes.
