Hi guys, just to find out more, how does the idling rpm works?

what is the healthy range? Mine used to be around 1.5, and then now suddenly drop to about 1.

U got no frens riding SP? Where u stay? I don't know how to say like that. Maybe I take photo show u the "knob" to tune when I reach home.

Another question, I seen my friends' bike (Also SP) , when they plug in the key and switch it to on, their neutral button lights up.

Whereas mine dont until the engine comes to life.

 

Why is it so?

 

could be wiring fault or battery

You see the yellow "star-like" knob? Turn that to adjust your idling to whatever you want.

 

It's at the right side below your fuel tank. Look inside & you can see it.

Can any other SP riders guide me on the following issues i face.

 

I haven been riding for the past 2 months, and only just recently utilized it,

My engine is still good. Sounds bass-ey and only require 2-3 kicks to start.

Only riding i did was to the nearby coffeeshop to get some food back and thats it.

Initially everything is ok. The lights was up even though it wasnt as bright as before.

 

However recently it became worse..

 

1) My engine die immediately each time i switch on the light.

2) My speedometer only goes until 20-25 den never go up liao

3) My idling rpm from 1.5 like that dropped to around 0.8 and sometimes die if I didnt rev it to bring it up a lil.

 

would like to seek all the experienced riders' help and view to help me diagnose/resolve these issues i face.

1) i would bet 90% ish batt problem. battery weak due to not starting the bike..

2) speedo spoil? if speedo cable spoil wont even go up to 25

3) try making ur idling higher.. cause its normal for idling to drop after bike is "warmed up" .. my idling on initial startup will be around 1.5-1.6 too. and it'll drop to 1kish rpm after awhile

Idling issue might want to atart the bike let it warm up for five mins than set it to around 1.2 , 1.3 rpm

 

Speedo sounds like the cable fault to me get it replace at 15-18 dollar, tell shop to replace speedo cable, cause from my what i know meter not so easy spoil unless racers always clear meter haha

 

Engine die off either battery weak or retificer spoil, so when riding its nt recharging causing battery to be weak, lastly might be wiring short, you know luh sp old bike, might need to change the external wiring harsness

I experience this before once, u can try do the idlimg setting yoursself and see if the rpm still drop and die , u might wanna do a full service to check internal, might be piston jam before that is causing the whole thing,

 

Last time my fren sp gt this problem rpm always drop till die no matter hw u set the rpm still drop, go to mechanic open up block piston check piston jam a few times before, the pistone gt many deep scratch, the block more good gt scratch nvm gt chip off lol,

 

Piston jam still can ride but it will feels like the bike no power like hmmm jam jam feel when u wack at higher rpm, like jam got power than jam gt power , lol sry forvthe bad explaination.

 

But lets hope its just setting of ur idle has run
