There are two type of valve for sp.

1. Intake valves (using reed valve)

2. Exhaust powervalves

 

Carburettor is a different component.

 

Hey kera, i am aware of the reed valves as intake valves. Exhaust powervalve is what? And what bout sp's rc valves?

I am using ows 800 fully synthetic 10w40 engine oil.

I used Motul Gearoil. I think any fully synthetic should be good.

Yamaha use ypvs

Kawa use kips

 

All are exhaust powervalve ah.

When open it give power at high rev. When close it give at low rev.

It kinda adjust the output diameter.

 

If powervalve stuck at close position, low end will be strong and petrol will save.

But cannot high rev.

 

If stuck at full open, bike cannot gi unless rev until high rpm.

I like to use motul gearoil.

But if dun have.. any 4t will do.

It just to lube ur gearbox n clutch plates.

 

My mech fren say if oil too smooth the clutch will slip. Dunno about that.

THANKS KERA. Btw, by hearing yr bike sound, can MORE OR LESS tell if the valve open or not right. Like at 7rpm onwards the pipe becomes monotone rather than at low rpm got the pret pret pret sound.

Guys what 2T you all use? I am looking for something good but not too pricy. cannot tahan motul 710..... BECAUSE my bike makan 2T sibei fast. roughy 10 days 1 bottle gone. Is the castrol 2T good? the one the bottom right got put EITHER "increased power" , or, "increased acceleration"....

On the right side of the block have this 'pulley' if its working it would move around when engine revved.

 

Other than that if a bike is good condition, low can move off then from rpm 7k can pull onwards until 11.5k

 

Sound is more high pitch ah.. dunno about monotonous.

Or if u go ahboy can buy putoline rs959 also cheap & good.

 

If want expensive n very good buy castrol a747 (premix only) or elf or whatever brand castor oil.. all for premix.

 

When use castor oil as above can really feel the difference. Whereas using something lik 710 price is more but dunno what difference.

 

How many km u go per day?

Unless ur a dispatch rider Ur 2t is like sibei jialat.. haha.

Mine normal usage 1l around 1month too.

 

If 10 days can finish 1 liter better use premix.. haha

i realise when i throttle abit, the thing moves. Then at 7rpm onwards it moves in the other direction. Something like that.

Hi bros, am looking to rebuild my SP and wondering if anyone have any spare parts lying around from dekitting or what.

 

Am looking for the following at the moment:

 

- Full fairing set with fuel tank

- Footrests (prefer racing for comfort)

- rider and pillion seats

 

If anyone has those, pls PM me price and condition, if got link to photo also better. I may take some time to respond as i'm going for op tmr. Thanks!

did overhaul last year dec. Hopefully after lessen the intake will nothing happen. popi popi.

Hello I am also new to sp..I using before ipone but feel that it engine didnt run that smooth..

Currently using Malaysia brand MOS..better than ipone.look and smell like motul..rm24..run 1200km Liao use up about half a bottle only..u can try

Anyway to other newbie like me..

 

I have this problem with the bike when going at 120km/h at 5 or 6 gear.the speed seem to be unable to pick up and there is a cranking sound like "da da" sound.at first I though was the engine.

 

Pick up also seem to be slowly and especially when I hold the throttle,the speed doesn't go.

When go up slope,pillion can also hear a tack tack sound。

 

Solution: change chain and sprocket.i went agl to change to Takasago motorcycle chain rk o-ring chain and sprocket... Just now ride till 140plus still can feel the bike can go faster.cannot hear any noise also,actually exhaust noise also can't really hear..wen throttle can feel that the bike response immediately.unlike when the chain Chiu Liao,first gear throttle like slow in pick up..

 

Damage: 340 RM shop: I forgot.next time I service bike then take note..signboard got MOS,beside the ayam penyet one
