Hi Seniors, what is the size of the bulbs?

1. Headlight is "H6" 12v - 30/30w

2. Brake/Taillight is "??" 12v - 5/18w

3. Signal light for front / rear is "??" 12v - 10/10w

Also where do I get this bulbs for stock? Same usual place/shop that selling the original part & what is the price for each bulbs cost?

By the way, does any of you change the Engine Oil (Transmission oil) done by yourself alone before?

If yes, what is the tools you need & how do you disposal the "Old" Engine Oil after drain out from the bike.

Thank

Bulbs i dunno. i just go find my mech and he will replace for me. Hahaha...

As for oil change, i know how to do it, but because you have to dispose the old oil properly, i usually just bring to my mech and do the change there. If you decide to do it yourself, you have to collect the old oil. If you dump it in drain or dustbin or whatever, it's an offence and if caught, very heavy fine. You can collect the old oil, go to some motordiam near your place. usually they will have a big metal barrel outside where they dispose their old oils. If you lucky, they will let u dispose off there lor.

RIDE.

Hi bro. U can chg yr bulbs at any motor shops. SP is popular, all mech knw. But I norm DIY esp the headlights s u all knw, it is quite tedious when taking out n putting in. So NT to trouble mech for such simple tasks I get the bulb n do it myself. I get my headlight standley for $5, signal abt 3$. Brake light forgot. Arnd tat price. There is once a famous shop assistant selling me headlight standley for 10$. I Nev freq tat shop anymore.

Chg EO is fairly ez. I alwys diy. U nd a 12mm hexagonal T-shape tool to take out the bolt on yr left side engine to release the oil. Tis tool is exactly T-shape, for 12mm hexagonal screws. Can buy at any hardware store. Tat time i buy $3.20. So nw abt $4. Collec old oil below wif plastic bag. U ND to open the cap for topping up EO so an adj spanner is ok. The oil to top up is abt 750ml. The tricky part is dispose oil. Norm I use 2 plastic bags to contain oil n throw at rubbish bin. Make sure u tie the plastic bag tight so the cleaner wont b dirtied by yr oil. Be clean to our environment. Of course if u can dispose at motor shop best. But since I did NT give them business, I paisei to dispose there. Tio Bo?

Awesome... thank sporeknight. :)

About the info, as the budget is low so still need to learn some knowledge & also must keep our environment to be clean. ;)

May I know where did you get your bulbs as I mentioned early that kind of place or any motor shop? Can pm me for more detail about that... :)

Actually bro, that's not a good thing to do and it's not exactly clean to our environment. Imagine your plastic bag although 2 layers, kena poked by something sharp that someone threw in the bin, then the oil leak out. Then when the rubbish truck come and the rubbish piled onto the back of the truck, the oil leak out onto the road and then washed by rain into the drains etc and into rivers... That oil contains a lot of toxic gunk... End up pollutes our environment instead.

If you can, maybe check with your mech if he is fine with you coming to dispose used oil as and when. Sometimes they are really ok one. Like for me, i buy my own EO because my mech doesn't carry the brand i use. So i brg my EO go his shop and change, then the old oil he help me dispose off.

Hello everyone. Long time no see.

Thank you brs heathx & sporeknight for your inputs.

Rgdg revs & speed. In 6th gear, 6k revs nearly 100km/h & 7k revs abt 110 or so km/h correct or not? I know 5k revs is 80km/h.

The thing abt sp however which I dislike is the engine feels v v rough & sounds awful & jerky at 5k revs. Some might say machine gun sound or its like a huge giant person hvg bad diarrhea case or looooong series of farts. Its at its worst in 1st & 2nd gear. But according to 1 forum it says its normal for sp. So kinda like engine dunno what to do lah....cant decide to give more power or gv less power....caught in betn case. Anything below or above 4.5-5.5 range is smooth. 4.5 is when it starts to feel rough, 5.5 is when it starts to smoothen out.

While on the subject of mods, is tyga exhaust legal in sg? Quite tempted to install 1. Is it still available in sg or need to import?

The rubber pads underneath my seat all melted, any place to buy replacement?

Im also thinking of respraying my bike to look like cbr600rr HRC tricolour scheme. As of now, only know Ong & Sons in Defu. Any other good place to respray? Money not an issue, i rather spend a little more but get 1st class job done. But if have cheap & good better lah! haha

The revs are about right. That 'rough' zone you mentioned is what we call the flat zone. And yes, it's because exactly like what u said in layman terms, engine cannot decide to give more or less power. You can reduce the jerkiness part a bit through tuning carb, or getting aftermarket reed valves and bigger carb, but means your fuel consumption also higher. For me, i asked my mech to help tune it out as much as possible, and generally avoid riding under 6k rpm.

Tyga, dogfight, or any other brand pipe is illegal. Will never pass inspection as wont meet requirements. Only stock.

Rubber pads, i assume you mean the shock absorber thingy at the four corners of your seat. You can try Everfit, FJT, or Ever Success.

As for paintwork, when i did mine, i shortlisted Yeow Motor at amk, and Paint Extreme at ubi. Ended up with paint extreme cos they could do it in one week and yeow needed 3. I believe workmanship wise, yeow slightly better, but paint extreme was pretty damn good too. No regrets.

I'm gonna do my cbr soon also, but since it's a custom design and colours very elaborate, i decided to sticker wrap instead of spray... Much cheaper.

Ya it was precisely cos of that 5k revs engine characteristic that i either tend to twist the throttle more to bypass that rev range or to be quick & sharp on the throttle to bring it up to abt 4k revs before changing to 2nd gear when moving off. Unfortunately both ways are very uncomfortable for a pillion - too quick & abrupt acceleration.

yes those rubber pads are the shock absorbers/legs under the seat. Pillion seat still ok. I thnk bcos rider seat closer to engine thats why melted.

In your opinion for my HRC tricolour scheme, what do you think is best:

1) Spray all 3 colours

2) Spray base colour ross white & then use wrap for red & blue

3) Do the whole thing wrap

When doing respraying, do the guys also add the stickers eg Honda, HRC. Castrol etc as part of their service or you need to go elsewhere, buy & self paste?

When i did at paint extreme, i just showed them the picture, then they did everything for me, i just paid and collected bike. But i believe the red and black stripes are stickers.

Usually they will just spray the base, then the additional layers are usually stickers. But if you tell them u want full spray, then they spray for you accordingly and charge accordingly also. At the end, they will always lacquer over the end-product.

Know what you want exactly, and show and tell them you want as what you show, no less. They will do their best to suit your design to your fairings, and sometimes they will tell you what can, what cannot. The small small stickers, you check with them if they can do it for you, otherwise offer to buy and pass to them to help you stick before they lacquer the final product.

Rabbit does LED for SP speedo... he also does things like angel eyes all those... But i do not have his contact as i only heard of him and that he operates in Yishun area... Never actually gone to him before...

SP front and rear by right is both sides light also on one. the bulb config is the same, each bulb has 2 filaments. Front, 1 for high beam, 1 for low beam. If high or low beam, one side no light up, means the filament gone. Rear, 1 for normal on light, 1 for when brake is engaged. if wither side never light up, same, filament gone.
