I've been to JB to change my piston and piston ring later found out that its all non original stuff which can only last for a while, so if you wanna go in JB and do better think twice as u might get fake stuff and in the end spend more coz you need to change and change.

hey guys, wad petrol do u all normally pump?

I was told that for NSR150 95 is good enuff, I have pump 95 for abt 2 mths than slowly I realise my bike lost power and engine feels diff frm wat it use to be and I change back to 98. I think SPC 98 is good enuff. dun need to go to the extend of pumping Vpower unless u go M'sia then of cause feed ur baby with the best eg F1 for esso or Vpower for shell

i haf tried mani petrol in sg.. but i still tink 92 is still e best... we dunnit all that high octane.. why burn good $$? onli petrol i dun realli like is the SPC ones.. they realli seem to tame our rides...

any1 noe wat is the main purpose of octane???? it seems to me that lower octane has no power... spc 92 sux big time.... make the engine noisy yet bo lat.... 95 is still acceptable and 98 is smooth.... not forgeting our neighbour synergy F1... :cheer:

The octane rating of gasoline tells you how much the fuel can be compressed before it spontaneously ignites. When gas ignites by compression rather than because of the spark from the spark plug, it causes knocking in the engine. Knocking can damage an engine, so it is not something you want to have happening. Lower-octane gas (like "regular" 87-octane gasoline) can handle the least amount of compression before igniting.

The compression ratio of your engine determines the octane rating of the gas you must use in the car. One way to increase the horsepower of an engine of a given displacement is to increase its compression ratio. So a "high-performance engine" has a higher compression ratio and requires higher-octane fuel. The advantage of a high compression ratio is that it gives your engine a higher horsepower rating for a given engine weight -- that is what makes the engine "high performance." The disadvantage is that the gasoline for your engine costs more.

JB and certain motorshop tend to use after market parts (third party) if not U think why they can charge so cheap. Honda original are expensive parts (BRAND!!) I personnally feel certain important parts such as piston, carb engine block best use the original unless U want modification.

Just to find out did any SP rider got a 'X' from your headlight inspection at VICOM? I have pass the inspection with only a 'X' on the headlight. So just wonder what sort of volt ur yellow bulb emitted.

Cheers

The filter is to filter out the particles aka dirt from the air so that your engine will not be so congested with it and thus perform better..

The airbox is just a piece of plastic which houses the air filter..

Once in awhile, you will need to clean the air filter element in order for your bike to perform at it's best..

OOooooOO..... there are lots of "Hao Chu" LeH~

1. It can make your bike fly.

2. When you fly, you won't know how can you come down.

3. When you came down, very difficult to brake.

4. When you finally stops, TP beside you le.

So, think twice before modifying your end can.

If you think it's safe, think again. :goodluck:
