Personally ... i think it might be a jetting problem? fuel not getting into places where it needs to be ... experienced something like this before... but thats onli when my fuel is low... experienced it in my car too... but thats really a big problem... for my car... when that happends... it means that something is wrong with my crank.. or clutch... happened once in JB... hell lots of money and people got involve to get it back to SG and dignosed with problem with the gear box... had to change my whole gear box unit...

but then again... we are talking about bikes here :cheeky: ... so ... recommands

** go to ur bike shop **

if not

** go to a reliable bike shop **

i would recommand planet motors ---> http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....showtopic=61390

i think i know wat's ur probz...

its the gear lever that metal rod...

the teeth on it is gone le... tat's y it can slip off...

if i m nt wrong , u try kicking up without pulling clutch in, the gear also can go up (although normally u experience a heavy jerk), if it doesnt, means the rod's teeth is grinded smooth liaoz... need to be service..

Suck it n ride!

Craz U alright? Hope not injured. How U manage to get it back to home? Towing? At this stage its hard to determine what causes the bike to auto shutdown by itself, best U bring in to mech to check.

U have to understand and accept the fact that the bike is not brand new and most of the SP have buang before or some sort of damage to the bike itself.

As for how to check the bike condition, some people mention checking the engine sound, braking system, clutch, throttle control, batter, chain & spocket and tires.

What else huh, actually I only know this after riding and learning from other experience riders 'after' I bought my present bike. :weep: But overall still happy with it (I spend a bomb on it in the initial month of owning it)

It sound taxing but for the benefit of future repair, some of those parts cos hundred of dollars to replace if U are not careful. Fork alignment would be hard to determine untill U are skilled & experience enough to check for spots. Normally if possible get a friend(s) who are experience to help U check the bike.

I have tried install a cheapo air horn in my SP, of coz not D.I.Y coz they need to install a small steel bracket to hold the horn so tat its not so visible. Remember to install the relay as well is very important. Last time becoz I oni install one instate of two resulting in the horn spolit after a while and batt runs flat. now using a magnum wif relay on my bike, its perfect

You will also need a 20amp fuse inbetween the battery and the relay..

wah i guess these days not good days for NSR

my bike also cannot start, just one week from shop sia.....

lucky still under 1 mth warranty

I have similar problem when I first got it, and I invest quite a bit of money to get new parts & servicing, I dare to say my money spend on maintenance is at least half of the machine price within the first six months.

Think there's a MO for the volt meter or something but be warn, the meter could get stolen.

Hmm..den ware u guys recommend me to get chain n spocket?

Try HKL

u dun really need to go till the main road to test the gears.. mostly viewing of bikes (private buyers) may be at carpark.. u can test it in e multi story carpark or find a straight empty road (those kind or road the is under hdb flat dat will lead into carpark) to test.. if wan also can test on road la.. but dun be until so suay dat u move out tp see u lo.. go out test den qwik qwik go back liao.. no need such long distnace 1.
