OK, anyway you'll need 500-800 depending on bike shops (if u get frm them) for downpayment. less downpayment = more interest. price? it'll depend on how new the bike is (plate) and the condition of it. what plate are you looking at? fs? ft? fu?

its okay asking questions here, but only if you cant find it in your search k? i know how everyone feels, some questions has been repeated 120445993493 times! :/

actually theres no need to start a new thread lah. if everyone with a different model of bike starts new thread cause of ppl asking the same few questions, the forum will get even MORE cluttered than it already is..

small bike speedo error usually show +10~20km/hr of your actual speed, if you insist that yours is -40 of actual speed, then thats impressive, when u hit 180 on your speedo your actual speed 220? maybe more? why not share with us what mods u did :) [/b]

my ride now is FS7*91J.

FR88*8H has been SOLD.

the max i ever hit (on the meter) is 145km/h and i'm at 11500rpm. when tested alongside a 400cc bike, it reads around 180km/h. enough said?

why not just do us and yourself a favour by getting it from one of us? bert's SP is a particularly good one at a reasonable price.

What your mech say is for precaution not to put too much stress on the new parts, if U want to wack the engine just go ahead, just don't go back to them and complain their work is lousy. When U go high speed try not to go too long.

What's the maximum limit not to stay at for too long of a period? Like 160? 170? 180? Sorry, but I'm rather new to the internal workings of bikes.

nightkid : i did 150km in 1 night. terribly exhausted now. the mech told me to not go beyond 80km/h. i did that, but on some occasions i went 100 to overtake those cargo trucks. can't believe i'm remaining in the 1st lane, soooo painful lol.

i wanted to get one from a shop at serangoon, they sell it quite cheap. but sadly they wanted to eat my bike at 1.5k. which was... wtf? wana chop me sia LOL

just a side note, i dont really NEED to sell it. if i sell it, fine. if not...... i dont really mind keeping it for fun also. the most wait until my shop finds me a nice nsr250 then push in to them lol.. i think i wasted too much money on my sp.. doing up the engine and all.. but no pt i feel... i kanna eat EASILY by my friend's pgm! poo!!!!

actually for a 2stroke.. you cant really maintain 9-10k rpm for too long.. i advise you not to try 160++ for over 15mins straight... it CAN maintain longer la.. but better not i feel...

down payment can be anything from $500-$800.. if u can afford it, pay full cash more worth it..

how much the bike cost is entirely up to u.. ur downpayment less, total cost will be more.. dun jump into buying.. go look around.. buying on impulse will be regretted later on..

totally agreed bert. anyway, it's up for SALE/ exchange with Wave-i/TA200. Any takers?

im surprised how come ur shop will eat it at 2.6k, cos my shop won't do for more than 1.6k. but loyal customer rebate, possible. anyway, i think SP is just a halfway there sportbike. something like a sportbike but not really there yet. looks nice and good for eating those road bikes. and a good and cheap bike to xian meimei who can't tell the difference between a SP and SP2.

my sentiments are the same as chenz and petzl. it's quite a waste to push back such a nicely done bike, so u shd share your good stuffs with ur brothers first!! :cheeky:

--------

for a 2-stroke, u CAN rev until 10500rpm if u like, but maintaining it at that position for too long can cause engine problems. if u wanna do at such high rpm, pls ensure u have quality 2T filled to the brim and the intake maxed. u'll do the engine a favour too by using RON98 or higher fuel.

ok i meant that 8k rpm sentence for chenz.. if you want to run in a new piston, i believe its better to not go over 8k rpm for too long right? i think 8krpm is like.. 120++km/hr already ma.. so theres no need for chenz to go that slow! its a torture for a lacer to go slow!

yeah but thats only if i get another bike out from them. i think they'll prolly earn the money back in the interest and all.. and the boss mentioned before, he'll still be able to earn a few hundred out of the sp and more on the interest and all LOL :/

i agree with you, its not a true sportsbike, but i suppose i (like alot of us) had alot of fun out of the bike already ^^

what i did was the whole engine and bearings ma.. i havent completed doing up the bike.. i still think the brakes are not good enough (i like very very jiak brakes). and i really wanted a damper on it, but luckily i couldnt find any suitable ones.. abo waste more money LOL.. but as it is.. i think its already one of the better conditioned sp's arnd.. thats why i dont really want to take some stuff apart.. its the same with my rvf.. im hoping someone who would appreciate it can take over my bike haha.. bobian then push in shop lo.. anyway my insurance up in july.. so i can ride till then max LOL

actually i been using 95 all the way. for some reason i feel theres more power with ron95 than 98.. weird eh?

i totally agree with u again. i find 5000 more power than 8000. somehow, weird? haha.

but nothing has been more smooth than Synergy F1. havent stopped using it since I started. the knocking at 5000rpm is so much less with F1 than 5000.

i was at the dam too last night. i think i reached around there around 1 am. left at 5am. damn funny. so many people playing pickup, then suddenly 2 TP come all diam diam and chabot, lol.

ravenSP: I know it's possible to reach 120, but i'm thinking whether opening the valve at such an early stage will affect the piston's running in. it's like the new piston cannot take such a powerful blow yet lol.

i never tried 95 before. i'm thinking of trying it since i need to run in. save $, lol.

So, it is possible to stay 150++ for more than half an hour without causing much or no problems at all to the engine?
