Hi all i wonder if ant of the old bird driver could ans my question......

 

currently my gf is driving a car... and everyting is under her name like insurance and the the car name.single handedly.

 

and now i would like to put the insurance my name as the first owner and my gf as the next one///.. does any insurance company does this???

 

as my gf insurance is keeling her at about 2k per yr as she have no NCD and because of her age....

 

with my age i think i can get 1500 even with out NCD..

 

so is this possible to changed name???

Are you above 30 yrs old? otherwise insurance for you will also be very high. Male drivers higher insurance, it seems. if you dont have desk bound job, insurance also higher.

 

Why not just call up the insurance company directly to get quotation?

As far as I know, you may need to be the registered owner of the car to be the first insured. Otherwise, everyone can have a car under their names and insurance under their parents.

 

IF you change ownership of the car, then you'll have to pay transfer fees to LTA.

 

LPPL lah, just drive safely, after a few years, her premium will naturally be cheaper.

If the vehicle is currently under loan, you will need to full settle & transfer to yr name before u can insure it under yr name.

 

If its not on any loan, u will nee dto transfer the vehicle to yr name then u can insure under yr name.
