Buy a decent padlock and lock it up for safety.

But try not to buy those cheapo discbrake locks.

Pang Scooter is good cos they sell their bike all stock i.e, which parts need change, they'd do it definitely. Ken is the younger dude who masters WR200. The older fella is his brother or uncle or what i doncare/donnoe but he's good too. They're friendly as well.

So you get a really good bike. But of course, the good bikes comes with a price.

How much does it cost to fix it or change to a new one..? i`m beginnin to hear a "hissin" sound when i start my bike diz evenin...Maybe itz due to da cold weather n i`ve not started the bike like 2-3 dayz..? or maybe it mite be due to my fall on da left side a week back..? Or is it sumtin elz..? n 1 more final qn...My wr seems kinda short compared to others i`ve seen arnd...How do i jack up my wr`z height..? I heard u gotta change da linkage or sumtin..? Wat is dat btw n how much does it cost..? Does adjustin ur front suspension helps too..? Hope i`m not askin too much qns...Thanx in advance..! `_~

If your carb leaks, u can see petrol stains on it especially at the 'joints'. Petrol stains can be coloured, i.e, the colour of your petrol that you poured (if I still remember its red for RON92, green for RON95? Ron Jeremy I don't know what colour. I am using NOS for my fuel so hard to tell colour).

You might need to change the gasket only. But if you need the whole carb, it might not come cheap. Near to $200 bux for it first hand. I got mine 2nd handed at $70 back then. Through sources and contacts and mechanics.

Hissing sound? I don't know man. Sounds like a snake made its way into your exhaust or somethin.

U gotta elaborate where it comes from. Might be a leak as well. If there's a leak, look for smoke escapes. That's a good sign you might have crackes or holes in your system for that fall. But then again, since it's a 2 stroker, it should'nt hiss. I put my money on a snake trapped somewhere sleeping and u were disturbin it? :help:

Jack up your height? Try to put more padding on the seat first. Height can be increased by adjusting your rear suspension. U may D.I.Y if you know how to, else, pay money and learn how to do it is definitely better.

Adjusting your front suspension should be done relatively to the rear. Else, you might end up having a sportsbike WR or a chopper WR.

You are not asking too much, cos my knowledge about this bike also half+6.

da hissin sounds come frm da engine...i only see very very lil oil stains on da carb...when i turn my throttle...i dun see any smokes escapin frm da belly or engine except da exhaust...my fren told me dat his sp has experienced it b4 as he did not start da bike fer a few dayz n da weather recently is pretty cold...He say after using da bike fer awhile...it shud be okay...haiz...gotta wait till my tp to resolve all diz probz...newayz thanx fer da advices...Btw...My seat iz pretty okay...but i tink my rear suspension is set lower den other bikez thus makin it look kinda short...I dun need to change my rear suspension to jack up da height rite..?

Posted

Don't need to and not advisable anyways. U can adjust it to its maximum, stiffen up the clicks and that's about it.

Changing the linkages to something non-original setted, can render the bike's geometry unstable when ridden.

If the hissing disappears after a few minutes of warming up, then ignore it unless if it doesn't.

Rule of the thumb : If it ain't broken, don't bother.

hey guys.. juz out of curiousity?? haf any of u chrome ur wr2 belly b4??? does it attract any uneccesssary attention????

my wr2 belly is currently chrome. althought so far it has not attracted unwanted attention, i'm still gonna spray it black because i dont want to take the chance. if your belly is stock belly then it doesn't matter if you chrome it because its still legal.
