As we were stripping down my magna for detailing, my mechanic

noticed a provision beside the oil filter that wasn't used.

He said it was for an oil cooler. He also said that it would be easy

to find a surplus part from other honda models that use one.

1. Is it for an oil cooler?

2. Have you seen one being used on a magna?

Your thoughts and comments pls.?

Cheers

jimmy

My mech said its only used in cold countries. Its for avoiding freezing of engine oil. Its for the radiator water to pass thru other chambers of the engine. My description I may be wrong but its something to that extent. :)

Thanks for the reply.

I guess, if there was anything attached to this area,

we'll find it in Sweden, Finland or Siberia.

Hi guys,

I posted the same question at the Magna forum in the USA.

I got this interesting response in my email.

"What he saw is where the evaporative emission canister and the pulse secondary air injection control valve mount on the California model only."

whew.
