Transport bike to chiang mai

Does anyone have experience with transport of bike to chiang mai ?

I plan to bring it there through either means....truck, flight...

Then leave it there for some time and fly in for riding....

Anyone got address of forwarder who offers this service. ?

Dont need to "look to the penny" ...as long as service is good hazzlefree and smooth

Many have tried, looked and given up, including me and my band of riders. There is no cheap, seamless ground transportation from Sg to chiangmai as the train services are broken up into many parts.

Each parts with its own hassles and rip-off tales.

Eg, you can pay to load it up the train but u pay a greater amount to off-load it at the other end etc.

If $ is no object, go by air cargo as you mentioned "Dont need to "look to the penny" ..

 

In the end we rode all the way there.

 

I also subsequently flew there and rented a bike there and rode part of the MHS loop; its much cheaper and pleasurable as you ride only the best roads there like that. But their tyres are not the best that we can get.

Anybody know by MY KTM train whats the fee they charge for sending a bike to perhaps Penang? or KL?
