or is it i always run abt 150 - 200km/h (sometime clear meter) back from the petrol station to 2nd link SGP checkpoint, then after in SGP i keep to 90 -100 km/h maybe then my mileage of a full tank can only clock 300 click due the opening of vtec from Malaysia to SGP

Pls advise

as for the tyres, front 32 back 34 should be enough as i alway pillion my gf.

thanks for the advices.....

if u change gears at 5k rpm and maintain 100km/h at eway, u should have gd fc. the air pressure is not enough.

I'm currently hitting only ard 300km for 15l, Sg's Caltex Techron 95. 90kmh on normal rds, 120kmh on eways. Seldom open Vtec on 1-5th gear. Gear shift at 4rpm.

Tried Msia's Shell Economy last Wed. Opened Vtec more frequent than usual. Same speed on normal rds and eways. Seemed that it can last a further distance. 300km and I still have 1 more petrol bar to go. Cool.

Btw any of you know which grade is Msia's Shell Economy? It wasnt stated at the pump..

LordDevil: Okie, thks. It seems that Msia's Mobil and Shell only have 2types of petrol, either ron97 or premium. Still, it's weird why their ron97 can outlast Sg Caltex's ron95.

My Spec II with 45T rear sprocket shows around 6.2krpm at 100km/h.

Spec II Vtec should open around 6.350krpm.

Correct air pressure for stock tyres are front 36 PSI and rear 42 PSI(For passenger and also better mileage).

My PB1 pump Sg Caltex Techron 95 machine stock hit reserve 350.

after fitting full sys fuel consumptiom same. After gg thru over haul consumption better 360 km .

The max I have achieved is 24km/l, but really no point because it's under controlled riding and seldom do I go long distance riding to get that FC.

Under SG heavy traffic jams, the FC will never get better...

My S4 Vtec 3 is new with only about 150 km mileage. Last Saturday, went to Kukup with wife as pillion and before starting the journey in JB, filled up to full tank with CALTEX Techron 97. After travelling for an overall 207.2 km (at maximum 4.5k rpm (approx 70km/h) and changing up gears at 3k to 3.5k rpm), I returned to top up again to full tank at the same petrol kiosk. I spent RM15.00 or 7.8125 (15/1.92) litres. Hence, my FC for this trip is about 26.51km/l (207.2/7.8125), which, I must admit, is satisfactory. My tire pressure is also quite high at 50 psi for both front and rear. Probably that also played a part towards the good FC.
