My computer is unable to boot up. Its running with a on-board GFX card, MSI motherboard.

Basically when i power on the com, the CPU fans and all other fans is running. but nothing appears on the monitor.

There is no beeping/warning sound coming from the motherboard.

What are the possible problems?

P.S: Computer is less than half a year old.

Check the cable connecting to the moniter and the graphic card? make sure it's properly connected? Or connect the moniter to another PC and see if its working? then u know if it's yr pc spoiled or the moniter problem. :goodluck:

If u turned the PC on and there's the normal beep when PC is turned on and nothing shows up on screen, chk your monitor LED. If its yellow and blinking, most likely is your gfx card giving a prob.

How about this problem:

Sometimes my PC just hangs, the screen is black (no signal) and the motherboard is making a alarm bell (dee-du-dee-du) sound... what's the cause?

pull out ur power cable from your comp, push & hold the on/off button for 10 secs, put back the power cable & try to on the comp as per normal.

if doesn't work try to hold longer, if still doesn't work, then report here again

Take note of the beeps, long or short and how many times it beep.

Then compare it with ur BIOS beep codes. U can google for it.

Once you've found the codes and compare with what you are hearing, you should be able to find out what's the cause.

Happened to me before. It sounds like an ambulance right?

I had faulty RAM back then. Made the computer run a RAM test off a bootable disk. Halfway through, that alternating tone siren came on and continued...sometimes lasting for minutes.

I'm not sure whether you have the same problem?

3 possible.

RAM, Mobo, or CPU has taken a permanent vacation.

Test by swapping out your RAM one by one if you have 2 pieces. If you only have 1 piece, then get another one to test.

U can also test your RAM on another compatible PC to see if it's dead.

If it's not the RAM, then worry next about your CPU or Mobo. Again, swap them out onto another compat machine.

Last, it might also be your PSU, or one of the voltage lines.
