Hi All, i was looking around for a bike mounted cam, and came across this Tachyon bike cam. It seems pretty alright. Has anyone used this before? Or anyone have another cam to recommend?

I'm looking for a camera that can be mounted on the handlebar, has an independent power source (batt, rechargeable preferably), can withstand rain, and have a sturdy mount, meaning it won't be dislodged when going on a bump. I intend to remove the cam after parking so it won't be stolen too. Any advice?

Bro, check at MotoWorld - DVR Front & Back camera with GPS indicator. Permanent fix onto your bike. Camera ON only when you start your engine and OFF when you off your engine (with 3sec recording aftr engine off). C/W 8GB CF Card (memory card) abt 10hrs continuous recording time. Once memory full, it will overide previous recording automatically. Can upgrade to 32GB CF Card. Both cameras are abt e size of 20ct coin.

Remove the CF Card and insert into card-reader and view on your PC.

I have one on my FJR.

this one is DIY ?

Not quite understand your question ?

Most of these camera can fix on helmet, or on the bike (handle bar, fuel tank)

GOPRO come with the most choice of mounting accessories, some can mount with velco, usually with bracket.
