Welcome bro! I just got mine new too in February this year. During my running in, I just rode not more than 80 km/hrs for 1,000km. This is what the dealer told me. But once a while its ok to go up to 90 km/hrs if you need to overtake other vehicles. My RPM is the same as you mentioned.

How much you paid for the bike OTR? Mine was 6.9k otr with Mah.

Hi Bro, got mine at 7.3k otr. Another quick qn, how do i set the time on the HUD? press the hours and mins button nothing happened.

Time setting

Set time in 24 hour mode.

When the main switch turns to “ON” the clock shows hours and minutes in 24 hour mode.

At this “Time mode” press HOUR and MIN bottom at the same time, and enter the “Time setting mode”.

At this moment the time digit flashes: press the HOUR bottom once and the hour increases. Keeping on

pressing for 2 seconds can accelerate the adjustment. (The minute adjustment by MIN bottom is the

same like this.)

At “Time setting mode” press HOUR bottom and this bottom will not flash for 2 seconds. (The same as

MIN bottom.)

When time setting completed. Press ALARM bottom or without pressing HOUR or min bottom for 3

seconds to exit “Time setting mode

Hi members,

I went for my 3rd servicing at Mah today.

Learned something new and and wish to share here.

We can buy the spare ignition key from them at $16. But you have to get ready the key identification tag number, the small metal piece that comes along when you get hold of the new bike. With the number they will match the spare key. According to them the key comes with a magnetic stuff to open and close the key ignition slot protection. If it doesn't match you will not be able to turn the ignition slot protection.

Hi all, i just bought a 2nd hand gts black FZ plate @ 1.5k. Good condition and cheap but notice my fuel consumption is pretty high compared to my phantom. Prolly could it be my way of riding at max speed xD

Welcome bro! How old is the bike? Older machine tends to consume more.

Sorry forgot to inform about the gear oil.

On That i changed everytime i change my engine oil. Also i rarely use yamaha auto gear oil as it seems to be very thin compared to the one recommended by sym.

On the point of changing oil every 2000km, to me i dnt see the seller trying to make money out of it.

A medium EO will only cost 12-16 depends on the brand. A fully syntechtic EO will cost about 22-29 per bottle.

Looking at the difference it is only a few bucks difference when you times two the EO of a medium EO.

Also looking at the rev of the engine of a scooter it is always going at about a high rev of about 7 and above if you usually ride 80-100.

Furthermore it is a single cylinder engine.

On the servicing of clutch, i like to service 2-3 months as i really dont like when the bike start to have the jerky effect.

I just see it as lubricating the gear.

If you ride a normal bike with chain you would lubricate it once in a while but looking at a cvt i dnt see y i should not lubricate it.

The first few months when i ride i keep having the jerky effect and ignoring it till it spoil my engine bush.

And the feeling is not fun when the jerky effect come to play.

Still the preference is up to you guys.

Last but not least here is the pricelist which is usually updated based on the market price.

However it is in RM. It will be useful if you are going to malysia as this is the price they follow.

As for Singapore, it is somewhere around ther but maybe a slightly more after conversion.

Singapore you can get your spare parts at WEDA along Rowell Rd. That is the only place i know has SYM. Not sure of others.

Here is the link:

Today my bike can go 359km then hit reserve...

Same! At 360km the yellow "petrol pump" light came on and the LCD fuel gauge started blinking.

Guess that's the most it can do on one tank....
