Hi Guys, I'm the new rider of GTS 200.. just gotton 2 days back.. enjoying a nice ride with her..

Glad to see this thread with alot of information for me to go through.. safe rides guys~!

I face this problem as well. I cant start my bike on the 1st crank usually 2nd or 3rd time then it manage to stay alive, sometimes have to add a little trottle to it to keep it alive. After a few secs its all normal. Another weird thing that i came across is that when my engine is hotter after some distance. My idling will be unstable, 1.5k-2.2k rpm. Well not all the while at 2.2k but it will go up and down. Any riders facing this issue?

Mine adjusted the idling,after a short ride to warm up and than adjusted to 1.5,but after long rides it idles at 1.8,But at least the idling is stable.

Unstable idle can be due to either air filter dirty or carb needs tuning.

went to ac last week waas told that my carb is ok no need to work on it. the air filter has been change as well. not sure if its really the carb problem or any other reason.

more often than not.. Air filter change with bacic servicing done liao.. performance can see the difference

hey guys, I am plannin to get a 2nd hand gts200. But since its my first time owning one, can you guys provide more info like:

 

How often to service

What sort of servicing

How much does typical service cost

And can i get it done affordably at east side, like autobay or ubi?

If you get second hand you better check the last servicing they did. From oil change. Belt and roller. Etc.

Oil usually depends on your kilometres . But I am practicing once in 2 month for my usage. Beside that nothing else.

 

Before buying :

Look for oil drips.

Check the engine run. Suspensions etc.

Check the wheel bearings.

Check the tyre.

Check the brake shoe alignment . I is equally used or sometime you can find slanted

hi guys

i got a excel ii ,

but face a werid problem , i was trying out the full tank , to know how much it can run , so i carried a one litre bottle ,

then ran the bike all the way till out of petrol ,

so i pour my one litre in when it died on me, heres the part , after pouring the petrol

 

my bike like auto control , never pull trottle but its like in first fear going to pull off , have to hold on to brakes all the way

every traffic light after that , i off engine ,

thn go to the petrol statio n top up

after tat no such issue .

 

anyone face such things?

Sound like jammed carburettor. The logic is the engine will not pull the clutch if there is not enough power/rpm detected. If the engine started to give torque it mean there is combustion . Combustion need fuel. The carburettor running job to mix air with fuel. The butterfly inside carburettor might be stuck .

To test this when you suddenly having high rev. Check your throttle if there is lots empty movement on it. That is what I can think off.

Heheh. Just speak about it. Almost similar happened to me. While slowly turn into empty space my throttle cable is stuck. Emergency control , when i see the other side of road empty , I have to let the bike jump the road divider. And maneuver back to correct side of the road. Phew. Maybe I will make it to stomp posting.

By the way . Anyone have extra gts 200 CDI ? taihin asking for 150sgd. Haizzz. End up ordering from eBay. Total 25sgd. But need to wait. It's China scooter compatible like kymco. If any used cdi maybe I will give it a try. My RPM problem and morning startup somehow related to cdi

hey guys, anyone knows where i can get a replacement luggage box light bulb? Mine doesnt seem to work, already tried to open it up and fiddle with the coupling behind the panel. Cant seem to remove the bulb, its damn tiny and not sure if bulb blown or fuse gone.

hi brothers. Im getting my used gts 200 from aljunied motors, can anyone here knows if the aftermarket exhaust from ebay are approve by lta? Looks good around 440sgd including postage.

You can go to taihin.. they sell one that approved by LTA.. but looking at it.. not that quite worht.. afterall it's a scooter

By the way.. anyone have ever replaced their suspension with other brand like YSS , any YSS part number can advise ? for YSS taihin offer $280, i found one model that cheaper. OD222-330P-03 it's hybrid V..

Replace with LED strip from any bikeshop.Just need to connect wires + its brighter and cheaper.

Im going to buy YSS hybrid V , not available here.. but price is cheap ( 100sg for 2 ).. YSS code OD220-330P-03

and found TSR , 130sg and 160 sg, the 160 is using damper.. but haven't try all this.. these model stil cheaper that taihin
