While I was entering the expressway this morning, my GTS200 suddenly stalled. I tried press start button but no response. After I pushed to the shoulder and waited a while (attempting kick start also can't start), the engine started after I press start button.

 

what could be the likely problem?

 

Though my fuel gauge JUST went down to the last bar, I had only traveled 230KM. So should have sufficient fuel to go into the engine right? Lights are still on, so battery can't be issue hor?

 

Was quite scary to stall on a busy morning expressway.

did you get this fixed ? look like something electrical.

Not sure if same case with you, but I did encounter something burn out, till need to tow. forgot which part. come to think of it may have sudden stall as symptom. not sure though...

mine also recently stopped working. I just ignore. 8yrs old bike.

The tachometer is connected to ignition coil. Mine also have the same problem previously solved by changing the meter

Oh have to change the meter ? But when on key self test is ok leh

Yeah. It's still can move. They Having different circuit input. The first only to test the needle is working. And the portion that translate the data from the ignition coil is different from the needle test.

But it still worth to try checking the cables from he ignition coil to the meter unit. On gts200 if you facing the meter coupler. The tachometer cable will be 7th hole from ur left at row 1. I would use voltmeter and put it into check model with the sound and check the cable connections from the coil to wiring harness

guys, i recently met w an accident and my gts200 front is gone. i was told by bike repair shop the headlight itself costs ard $400. any idea if this is true?

anywhere i can get a cheap headlight set?

anyone encounter suddenly very difficult to start yr bike? as in need to try for more than 30 min before finally can start? not sure whats wrong. i go to few workshop to check but they all can not diagnose since its random, usually when they try the problem never come out.

any skillful and trustworthy workshop can recommend ? hopefully in east area?
