yup, been looking ard for some info on the 12r.. i know tat there r some 12 riders ard here but I haven got to c any constructive threads of it. unlike other threads on honda & the likes, there isn't much reviews on the kawks with the exception for kips.

i shld dig out my database, for diffy between

 

01 and earlier models and 02 and later

 

main things what i notice is,

 

better cooling sys (2 fans)

 

smoother throttle resp

 

front sharper appearence

 

kawa did do something to the clutch also for the later mods..

always wanted to try a hypersports but din want to spend too much on it. care to give a rough guide on the prices 4 pre 01 & post 02?? btw, u have an idea of the impending insurance??

 

seen a 12r at a bike shop recently, realise the speedo ain't tat cool looking, any options for tat??

but i know couple of frnds selling the 00/01 model

 

insurence depends on the age grp. only ntuc does take the 12r..

 

as for the cost i think with 20 % ncd for a 4 yr old bike shld be

 

around 1k (for age grp above 31)

 

the bike shld cost u anything arnd 13~14 k.. depends on the access

was oso looking ard 4 pre 01 models as e prices r generally more welcoming. i dun really c em in bikeshops, seems like i could only get them fr pte owners.

 

btw, insurance is really a turnoff. prices r ridiculous, even 4 above 31yrs of age.

first of all a few 12 owners are on the road compare 2 bb or busa riders..

 

out of those few only a couple might be selling so bikeshops a got a lesser

 

chance to markup.. yeah insurance is a trunoff but can't help it.

 

yeah better option shld be get it from "known" pte owners..

hi, 2000 model is roughly what plate? As a guide. 200 model as i've been informed is the only one with no power cut? at 12k did you get from a shop or private seller?
