Hi Bros and Sis,

I bought a caberg duke awhile ago, which came with anti-fog pinlock attached to the visor.

Problem is, after a few months of usage, the pinlock has now turned soft, lost its shape, and started to come loose. While it still effectively prevents fogging when I ride in the rain, everytime I open the visor, the pinlock drops back down. Similarly when I shut the visor, the pinlock drops down before the visor is shut, causing difficulties in closing the visor entirely.

Any bros or sis here have encountered similar issues? Besides purchasing a new pinlock, what else can be done to let the pinlock remain stuck to the visor?

pinlocks will usually stay in place. if they do come loose, check if it is because the pegs have been rotated. the pegs that secure the pinlocks on some visors are cams that can be adjusted to put tension on the pinlock. that should fix most loose pinlock issues.

if the cams are not the issue, then check if the pinlock seals are defective. if they are, the only solution is to get a new pinlock to replace the one you have. should not be too costly.

the pinlock itself is a rather stiff material. if the one you are using is soft (as in bends easily like a plastic sheet), then maybe you have a different brand and it is not really a pinlock. in which case, best thing to do is to ask the people you bought your helmet from.
