Rijac... for the red light before turning left... if you are the first bike, you need to check right and left before moving off right?

I remember instructors keep emphasizing only first bike to check right left, the rest behind only check back right, and check left only when making the left turn.

Correct?

no. when i did my circuit revision the instructions were that only 4 places must check right and left. staring point, blind corner, figure 8 and crank. so not sure why you got different instructions. it should be noted in my lesson 2 summary. wait i go look.

At the traffic light after figure 8 and crank, the 1st rider must check right (safety check to move off) and left (blind spot) when the traffic turns green in his favour. As the form-up to turn left is single row, 2nd rider and the rest will only safety check right, then check left blind spot before making left turn.

At the blind T junction, the 1st rider to make the ride turn after inching out, must perform the safety checks of the main road (left, right & the merging road to the left), when safe to make a right turn must check back right before proceeding the right turn. This simultaneous action, aero-dynamic safety checks, must be carried out in order to execute a safe right turn. For riders behind, just check back right to form up and must STOP behind the STOP line before inching out.:p

so its really a blind spot check while stationary for the traffic light left turn.

with regards to the above, supposing while checking blind spot saw got vehicle at blind spot, what should be done? I am very confused about this type of checks.

Then you are doing it wrong. Just an example, the steps for lane change/turning is to be mirror signal blind spot. Hence at the first step, mirror, there shouldn't be a vehicle in it which will jeopardise your turn/lane change, if there is, then you shouldn't commit for the turn at all unless that vehicle is faraway and depending on your judgement it's speed, but if in doubt remember safety first just don't commit. After you checked the mirror and it's clear for go you signal to make known your intention and finally your blind spot check to complete the maneuver. But suay suay(unlucky) got racer then maintain your lane cause you do not have the right of way. But that shouldn't be case if you do the steps correctly cause while doing the mirror checks, you should already make sure it's clear and no speeders coming. And inevitably you will see roughly at your sides got ah siao or not while checking the mirror too.

Hope this helps.

Just my two cents.

blind spot checks during your lesson is to teach you how to check blind spot because in real life, it will save your life. in the circuit it is rare that someone will be there. in the event that it does happen you don't continue with your turn/lane change and even stop if necessary. othewise just go straight. if there is a vehicle in your blind spot saving your life is more important than passing the lesson ah!

Thanks for the tips. Some people go through the lessons and can understand, I am blur. Gone through already still do not know why.

U must not be scared to ask teacher. They will be sarcastic when they answer but just be thick skinned and ask.

what is the e trial test for? I was told by the customer service it is free. I see that I can book although I have not completed my riding theory lesson. What does it mean if I pass? Is this internal evaluation where I can get a chop?

Basically E trial is a simulation for RTT and Internal Evaluation... questions are about the same..

Internal Evaluation are mock test for RTT. Before you can book for IE, you MUST attend 4 riding theroy lesson and 3 defensive riding theory lesson

You can only book RTT after you passed internal evaluation..

MY Lesson are on 1, 5, 6, 9 Jul :cheeky:
