Hey bro, I'm experiencing that too. My bike already 3mths and there's still a hissing sound coming from the front. I can hear it if I go slow but when speed up u can harldy hear it. Went to boon siew, and they say its normal. Haha..just like urs too....but I'm beginning to live with it. I believe its normal coz the other 2 new bikes also had the same experience went I was there for the service.

if you are saying abt the "rotating" sound when you press your brakes.. it's quite normal.. as long as not the "eek" sound..

mine also had the sound pressing the brakes.. sound will go away during braking in low speed..

Really! when im at carpark riding at slow speed, there wont be any sound from it. But if i travel on normal road, especially highway,I'll see it more obvious.

Another question, mine rear brake doesn't "eat" that much when I step the lever. I see the brake pad still got a lot more. How to solve this problem?

Thanks so much for you guys' help

can diy, there's a nut to adjust the freeplay for your rear brakes at the foot lever..

if you got no idea how to do it, just ask your mech to adust during your next visit..

but remember not to adjust it until that you step a bit 'eat'..

if you remember in sch they teach us 70% front 30% rear when braking..

hi racerbike,

added some info on the sound on brake pad

hope it is useful.

I just change mine rear brake pad with those SBS brake pad, before it's change there's no sound but after change it to sbs the 'EErk' sound very loud, now lazy to do anything about it, just live with it.

Racerbike first thing u only mentioned noise but is the braking affected? Loss in braking pressure or same like b4 only noisy. Just in case is the rotor disc hot after u moved a short distance? if not its probably the pads have harden. If hot it could be the calipers did not release the pads properly after releasing the lever, option 1 is change new DOT4 and bleed the hose. Option 2 could be the brake pump, its located in the brake reservoir joining the brake lever sometimes need to spray some contact cleaner. Option 3 is to service ur calipers. Or it could be warped disc which is costly to change better change to aftermarket ones which is cheaper.

akirajo sbs pads are known to be noisy.

Sorry borrow your thread, How much to service the front 2 brake caliper? Every service must change the O-RING or need not(Depend on condition)?

Last service brake calipers, meaning take out wash and change O-ring seals. Abt $100 inclusive of brake fluid.

when to service or when to change the seals, can ask your mech to advise you when you change brake pads?
