there can be sand in your pads.. or your disc is so badly damage that it eats the brakes so damn fast...

the second option is very very unlikely

in my amateur opinion, can it be that the brake pads worn out?

he changed brakepads already how can it be worn out.

although that could be the reason, the other is dirt or brake dust.

it can also be the type of pads u are using, some harder pads make noise when relatively new.

This morning while riding to work, my rear brake suddenly not working.

Can press all the way down but nothing happen. After that at trafficlight, I keep pumpinp(stepping on my rear brake) then it works again.

Any experts can tell me what happen? Should I bring my bike down for check up?

First bleed ur brake as many of brake problems are easily solved by bleeding.

Check ur brake pads.

If not u have to go to shop to retify this problem. Rear brake not so bad if front ones pls do it ASAP.

I dont know cos I DIY one. Shouldnt more than $30 I guess as the brake oil is only $6-8 depend on brand. One bottle is more than enough for my bro and my bike still got 1/5 left.

Since talking about brakes, anyone encountered the situation where the front discs brake pads are rubbing only a little againsts the discs that causes a noticeably intermitten sound... abit hard to describe but goes something like dat.

This does not affect the free movement of the wheel but just the sound....

and you'll be surprised by my fooked front wheel bearings once caused that. :D

:bounce: thanks for sharing!

just to share also, i visited my bikeshop again, and they told me its the "dust" that came of the brakes., my bike relatively new and thus new brake pads, they cleaned it abit w/o dismantling the brakes, just use air spray and it's better. will go for servicing.:thumb:

this may apply to new brake pads,......
