Help!Electric start won't work

Hello Friends

 

I am currently riding a yamaha fino.Yesterday washed the bike and might have splashed some water at the electric start button.After drying the bike,electric start don;t work no crank sound.Luckily got kick start.Anyone please can advise what's wrong and what should i do.

theres a fuse connecting to your electricstarter. press your hand brake either side at a time, check the light is working or not? cost around 20plus

check the brake SWITCH connection !

yup.... anyway when u start the bike, do u pull the left brake lever before pressing the ignition?

So did u try to pull your right brake lever instead n then pressing the starter?

 

If it starts then we can assume that one of the the brake interlock switch is damaged. So then check at the brake lever side that did not connect the ignition n notice that there is a small switch that depresses when u pull the brake lever.

 

Could it be that switch has water gone in n now its jammed?

Maybe try spray some wd40 or some contact cleaner to clean it n try again.

 

If left n right brake levers never get to connect the ignition switch, why dun u check the side stand switch.

If not, next is to check the fuses. Hope it helps n do feedback here back once u get to diagnose the probs,
