Opps Esso petrol station.

Ok.. will take note.... hope not my exact carpark but... will still take precautions.

Really... will have to look into getting an alarm.

Which would everyone recommend?

I am living in Clementi and i am parked in an Open spaced carpark.... which Avenue? ....GULPS!!!

Hi! I live in Clementi too, just buy bike cover and cover your bike....

1) protect your bike from rain and shine

2) deter ppl from checking out your bike

3) save some $$ on season parking

No lah, not trying to put words in your mouth cos it's never my intention to do that (no reason for me to do that anyway). If I cause some misunderstandings between you and me, I apologise for it :)

I do agree that it's the safety rating that determines how safe the helmet is. No one in the right mind will spend hundreds of dollars for a non-DOT/SNELL approved helmets anyway right? :)

Maybe it is the psychological effect, but I definitely feel safer on slightly more ex helmets since I believe these companies had spend more R&D effort on the safety aspects of the helmet, other than aerodynamics performances.

Then again, I am just voicing out my opinions, which may differ from the rest of the members here. But that's what the forums are for, sharing of opinions, so that everyone, including me, can benefit from this :) I must say, your opinion do give me some enlightenment too :)

So, no hard feelings ya? :D

erm bro.. u putting werds in my mouth again ley..o_O I never said anything abt cheap helmets.. actually meant helmets CHEAPER than Arai/Shoei etc...

Besides..spending $XXXX amount on a helmet dun necesarily make it safe. Its the DOT/SNELL/ECU/PSB rating mar. U can spend $1000 buy helmet got no rating vs my $200 DOT aproved helmet...I feel safer in my DOT approved helmet, thanks very much. :thumb:

Though I must say.. I think PSB only test the foam in the helmet.. even then for SG roads where the speed limit is 90km/hr max. If u want high speed go for SNELL approved helmets.

No prob bro, jus don't quote me out of context please. :thumb:

You'd be suprised. Lots of riders get taken in by the brand or design but fail to note if the helmet had an approved rating. I know some replica helmets don't have a rating because they aren't meant to be worn. More of a collectors item.

Erm.. well, this is really up to the individual. You'd do well to note that even in the same brand the safety rating may differ because the helmet is designed for different usage.

none at all.. end of the day its your money and how you wanna spend it is entirely up to you :thumb:

just dun tell me how to spend mine

That's a very good price. Is it for the "07 models?

Bikr Pdn quoted me a price of $17,800 regardless '07 or '08 model.

They wont drop the price even for an '07.

Yes, their excellant service is still in practice, ignoring your questions or answering them with the face down while doin their thing.

I was at BP at abt 4pm.

Yes, please pass me your contact at AS Phoon

Hope ure still enjoying your bike, hope to see u around soon.

I was at Bike Production last Sat too at abt 11am. I got cheesed off by the service and went to AS Phoon. What time were u there? I was surprised with the $17800 price quoted which incl Insurance because with different age the premium jumps pretty significantly. Not ure if its the '07 or '08

BP did not want to take in my bike for any price. So the reason why i went to AS Phoon. I finally bought my bike ('08) at AS Phoon for $18000 w/o insurance. My Insurance is $925 with 20% NCB and i am 30 going on 31 in Oct.. lol... The main reason i bought the bike at AS Phoon was that my SE took in my Super400 Vtec1 at $3500. And my current bike is really worn down and has only 1yr4mths left in COE.

I should be collecting my ride hopefully this Fri or Sat.

CMYRS: If you like, i could give you the contact of my SE at AS Phoon. Drop me a PM.

I will PM you the contact as soon as i get home tonight as i do not have his number on me at the moment.

As mentioned, AS Phoon is not the cheapest some bros here have bad experiences but mine was good if not excellent. The FZ1S is $18300 and the FZ1N is $17800. i bought mine coz SE gave a great price for my Super4 Spec1 which made the deal sweet!

The bike is great and not only the riding experience is getting better from day to day.... the bike does gets heads turning.

I hope you can find yours really soon.

I went to AS Phoon Serangoon, but my SE is from Toh Guan.

the $17800 is otr.... which means only the Insurance is not included. No early termination nor pre payment penalty. Only a $5 processing fee if you are looking to early redeem your loan.

dats quite abit of a difference, considering BP's otr includes insurance, its fire and theft. This insurance is currently going for about $850 for a 30 yr old?

Just out of curiousity, did you receive black n white abt the $5 processing fee is u pay off yr loan early?

Sorry, what is SE?

SE is sales executive.

Black and white... no.. but i did question on that point. So they showed me 2-3 contracts that did a early termination in the last week. So i saw the invoices... there is even a refund on the interest not incurred if you terminate early.

i am 30yo now, 31 this year.. with $925 for insurance 2nd party with 20% NCB. Been riding for 14 years and never claimed on any insurance.

i am curious on BP claims on insurance that is inclusive to the $17800 price... coz a 23yo insurance is $2k++ and 30yo like myself is $925 after 20% NCB....

how can they include?? so if a younger fella who bought the FZ1 the bike price minus the insurance is 17800-2000= 15800??? And if its a 30 yo... $17800-925= $16875.

Too big a difference.. and dun makes sense... unless someone here can enlighten me.

I dun have any agenda. Nothing against anyone.... Just thinking aloud...

I must say that I went to them for a quote before i bought mine and found theirs to be very shady. I ended up buying mine from another shop which was higher than theirs but everything stated clearly. Smooth and honest transaction.

At the end of the day, even when u sign the papers to purchase from bp, you're not guranteed a pleasant transaction. I know a friend who bought an 08 model, the bike arrived 3 weeks late, and he didnt get the colour he wanted. And with their " i am king " attitude, you're pretty much left to guess if you'll have a trouble free transaction from them. They don't really care about service. But hey, they're the cheapest around so the fact that they are surviving shows that they're doing well. Just take note that you're not "guaranteed" the exact specifications you want (colour) and might be forced to wait for extended periods of time. The choice is yours.

This is just my review and 2 cents worth.

Posted

han nor han nor... i agree with dnt.... you cannot choose the colour and only BP choose for you... if you insist then you would have to wait a few weeks more..

There is no secret recipe..... To...... Inner Peace.......

Hi to all Fazer 1000 owner:smile:

Anyone interested in the FCE set by Ivan's Performance?

Had done a checked, no one in local selling this product that’s why needed to purchase from oversea.

Did a check on the price also, product + shipment cost around S$361.06 per set if you are to order only 1 set from them,

But if we can order 5 sets and above, they able to reduce the price to S$290.00 per set.

That's a price difference of S$71.06.

For more info on the products can refer to the link below

For online instructions can refer to the link below

Interested parties can PM me.

I will be getting 1 set, so need another 4 buyers to enjoy the lesser price.

**I manage to reduce the price after further Neg with them as compare the thread i posted earlier**:cheeky:
