So what bike did u settle for?

 

tiger it was in the end

 

bp was playing punk when asked abt the delivery date and all so i rather not go down that road.

 

its a pity as the no. of accessories available for the fz is ridiculous!

 

did u experience what i mentioned above when u were running in?

during the run in process (i.e. first 500km), anyone experienced rough throttling when keeping speed at a constant rpm??

 

the bike was smooth till about the 500km mark.

erm.. i havent run in a bike in a while but isnt the 1st oil change when u get it den 2nd at 500km? Mebbe dat y its a little ruff?

strange thing was that I did the oil and filter change at the 350km mark.

ouh.. well... erm.. u change to mineral base rite? cant really say if its an issue without seeing the bike but as long as there's no loud metallic knocking sound from the engine i think ur alrite. But, if u want peace of mind just bring it in to HL and ask the mech lor..

erm.. dats a worst case thing.. dun worry abt it unless it happens..

 

mineral base is usually ruff. dats y its changed every 500km. Once u finish running in n change to full synth it shud be smooth again.

 

BUT, this is a best guess. bring it in to HL if ur really worried. Still under warranty rite?

Normal Normal. After the first 500km.

Mine even had stupid vibrations at 4-5k RPM.

But it gets better as you ride it in.

About 4000 - 5000 KM and you'll experience the smoothness!

It WILL smoothen out. so like what da bonz says, ride more worry less!

you mean "ride more worry less"? Nope, usually new owners they tend to worry more and ride less

 

Just ride and enjoy your bike, normal to have rougher, hotter engines during running in, and higher fuel consumption

Morning everyone....its mid week and .... 2 more days to go!!

 

Been a mad week for me and going forward this is going to last another week or so.....Really looking forward to the July ride with everyone to the north and stay over in Genting!!

 

Waiting on the SW Motech i ordered for the Gen1. Then i have a little more lugguage space.

For those going to Genting for the coming trip...received this email from a friend... true or not I don't know but no harm reading it...

 

Last week, I brought my guests to Genting Highlands. After a day 'above the clouds', we decided to have dinner at the

Gohtong Jaya area on the way down.

 

We ordered some dishes and decided to have a steamed fish as well. So the captain recommended 'sultan fish'.

The steamed fish came. HALF, and plain steamed. Good & fine.

 

But when the bill came, it came to over $500 !! We were shocked !! We were told the fish was 1.4 kg ( & please bear in mind, its ONLY HALF A FISH ) at RM 320 per kg! RM 420!! This was daylight robbery. We were not informed by the Captain that a kg of the Sultan fish would cost us RM 320 and there was also no signs of such pricings anywhere in the restaurant.

 

When we checked with the cashier, she told us, its correct !!

 

Of cos, it was our mistake for not asking the price first.

 

Anyway, on the way back to KL, we stopped at Unique Seafood,PJ, where one can choose a live fish. The most expensive Soon Hock swimming in the tank is RM135 per kilo. Asked them about the Sultan fish, it is going for RM100 a kilo.

 

 

Will be sending this letter to the newspapers, Tourism board, etc etc; and friends, pls pass on to all on yr email list.
