it will be like:

- meet at GP esso at 8am

- morning bfast at yong peng at 9+am

- jalan to malacca outskirts

- malacca a&w for lunch

- enter malacca town for tourism attractions visits, photos or shoppings

- depart malacca at roughly 4pm or 5pm

- seafood in perling for dinner

- home sweet home

bro the town will be quite empty on that day....i been there 2yrs back on the same holiday.....

Running in, you got 3 choices.

 

Hard run in. What many sexperts believe will be good for more power. Dubious, but they still believe it anyway.

 

 

2nd, the RTFM method. aka Read the Fuuccking Manual way. :angel:

Just do what the manual says and treat it gently, riding like a pusssay for the next 3000km.

 

 

Or, just ride it normally. Like I did.

I mean what the hell. Top Gear 100kph is 4000rpm.

You don't need to be gentle to a CL2 bike, especially a 1000cc.

I even broke the 9000rpm for a few seconds during run in. The manual stated "No prolonged operation over bla bla bla rpm" and so, just ride it normally and give it a good kick in the ass from time to time.

 

My engine is still healthy.

 

Yea.. Just ride normally as you should. Try to shift more often to break-in your gearbox. Once in a while bring up the rpm in any gear but do not hold it for too long. Use semi syn engine oil during the break-in period.

Still enjoying riding my FZ1. I had downgraded to C9L2 excuse IPPT permanently but still in SBAB reservist namelist.Hope they don't bother me anymore.LOL

hmmm... yea thanks... :)

but still gonna go cus ivan gonna go back his hometown a while... ghost town is good, less traffic... as long there's foods and drinks for us can liao... :)

need help to really blend into our company madness?...:D we seniors are always there to help ya...:thumb:..but like what i always tell you, what you purchase must be within your salary and not eat into overtime ya..then you can go into semi-retirement mode

Hi guys,

 

need some advice.

I am getting my new bike soon. What is the running in procedure for the FZ1?

 

i dyno'ed FZ6, FZ1 and present bike, no issues.

 

Best advice, ride it hard, go through all the gears, do not maintain at one RPM for too long, do not redline it.

 

Use semi or mineral, change every 500km until u hit 1500km.:thumb:

 

or follow the manual and do a soft run.

 

Any method oso u prob wont notice until u hit high speed or go to the track. Engine life oso won't be guranteed..still depends how u maintain it over the years..
