seems like quite a cost saving way, but touch wood if let say anything wrong with the PC will they except a 1 to 1 exchange ?

one thing that hold me back from purchasing stuff from out of this country is if they send a faulty stuff to you, have to go thru the hassle of getting it replaced which means shipping cost x 2 .... :sian:

Hi guys,

I am collecting my bike next week. Yahoo!!

What is the servicing intervals of the FZ1?

For my old bikes, I have stuck to the:

5000km: Fully Snythetic EO + Oil Filter

10, 000km: Fully Snythetic EO + Oil Filter

15,000km: Fully Snythetic EO + Oil Filter + Air Filter + Spark Plugs

I went online, and it seems the svc intervals for the FZ1 is stretched to 10,000km for EO, every 20,000km for the oil filter & plugs and every 40,000km for the Air Filter?

What are the service intervals you guys stick to?

Please advise.

Thanks!

Just do it the old way. It should work fine.

The manual stretches the oil change rather long, given our tropical and hot climate. I find that after 4000km, gear changes get notchy.

every 5000km - EO change

every 10000km - add oil filter and plugs on top of EO change

15W50 oil lasts longer, but will affect your acceleration and slightly increase fuel consumption.

10W40 is smoother, but gear changes gets notchy after 3500 to 4000.

Yap,

it can display your oil left how much,

the temp, G force plus the flow rate..

then got blue LED at night also

Can the control panel be removed from the bike and plugged back in?

U know the dangers of leaving gadgets on your bike.

You might find just torn wires dangling from your handlebar the next day, courtesy of some idiot thieves. :(

Means must modify la. I wonder if you make an improvised detachable connector, whether the thing will be damaged after repeated connection/disconnection.

Dear all FZ6 bros,

Our current thread (Fazer 600 Reviews) is being informed that it will be lock soon due to unrelated chats aside from reviews only...

So, here is the new thread~! WELCOME everyone!

The Yamaha FZ6 is a 600 cc motorcycle that was introduced in 2004 as a sporting middleweight sport bike built around the 2003 YZF R6 engine. The engine is retuned for more usable midrange power. It comes with a somewhat soft suspension that makes it easy on beginners and very well suited for sport-touring, commuting, or just having fun on curvy mountain roads.

This bike is a popular choice for its half-fairing, upright seating position, and underseat exhaust. These features position it between a full supersport and a naked streetfighter (although in Europe and Australia, there is an available naked FZ-6N option).

This motorcycle can easily handle sport riding, touring, and commuting. Many owners of these motorcycles modify them more to their specific style of riding. Some owners just leave them stock and enjoy the "all-rounder" capabilities. There is a large following of motorcycle owners and many are fanatical about making their FZ6 unique or one of a kind. Because of this, there are many aftermarket parts available.

For more comparison on the years, look into the source below.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.
