ebay is selling at SGD 170 lo... and i think that is light smoked if i'm not wrong...

lesson learnt: change gear at 4k rpm, dun keh kiang change @ 5k or 6k.. although sound and feeling very shiok. wallet bleed lagi shiok.. =X

 

hahaha... I just did my first full top-up and FC is at about 17.9km/L to around 18km/L.

 

I already feel a bit "heart pain" liao.

 

You clock 10km/L, lagi more heart pain than me...

 

Yah, change gears at 5K rpm or 6K rpm really sounds "nice", but like you said, wallet become not "nice", very thin... :)

no $$.. i think i can only upgrade if i have a car, ie. the bike is more towards play than daily transport. in another words, this 6 is going to stick with me for some time, unless something drastic happens, or my workshop starting to have problems getting spare parts.

 

speaking of which, my regular workshop have a vfr parked there last nite, i ask my mechanic, "i thought you told me you dun like to do vfr, ask me dun buy, how come got 1 outside?" he say coil spoil, wait for 3 days also no spare, that's y he discourage me to buy..

 

so when i have problems similiar to this, its the real sign. by then i might upgrade to something 800cc, 1000cc, 1100cc etc. or go back to super4.

 

If and when the time comes that FZ6 parts are obselete and hard to find, will there be no re-sale value for a FZ6? Since all bike shops will know that parts difficult or impossible to find, so no demand for FZ6, then no re-sale value, then we cannot find parts to replace too. Then we are stuck with it till all the parts "give way" and it reaches its "scrap off" time. :cry:

 

Sorry, I don't know about the "journey" of discontinued bike models. Is this going to be what is going to happened for discontinued bike models??

 

Honda parts should be easy to find. VFR1200 is out only recently and I find a super ugly bike. So I can't believe that parts for a VFR800 becomes obselete so fast. haiz...

Looks like GPRv4 is a good buy. It has been in my radar as well.. How much u paid for it with shipping? I saw some overseas site selling $445.95 USD..

 

They don't ship direct to Singapore..... Had to sent to US add.. then shipped to S'pore via V-Post.

They've just came out with GPRv4 for FZ-1 quite recently. Meaning, you can't get it anywhere else for a cheaper price.

Got my piece for USD 495 + USD 10 for local shipping. Paid bout SGD120 to ship to S'pore with Insurance covered.

 

IMO.... money well spent..:thumb::thumb::thumb:

we will get hints if replacement parts are getting harder to find. probably by then i got to sell it. unless of cos, i have another transport.

 

unfortunately for the current vfr its not.. probably other workshops like HKL have some basic parts in stock lah. but my regular workshop does not have so i had 2nd thoughts buying it.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

no blue or red or yellow or white or any other colors except black or dark smoked...

no standard screen or racing screen or double bubble or triple bubble except touring screen...

bitubo damper comes in blue, red, gold, titanium(grey)..

pricing now is 780 including installation. if can get 5 sets or more, it will be a lower pricing..

servicing? u mean basic servicing e.g change oil blah blah blah ah?

jus go any of ur fav bike shop or see where got promotion or package e.g unique lo... :)
