any advantage using lock nuts ?

to prevent the nut from loosing and fall off when it comes to high vibration riding...

u never want parts of your bike to drop while riding right?

i personally experienced my mirrors to become loose in NSWH and when i reach sadao border, i stripped the dashboard out and discovered 1 nut out of 2 nuts on each mirror had dropped and the last nut is half way out of the thread already...

that time is using stock (normal) nut and i did not do any re-tightening to that area since the day i got my bike...

luckily i brought lock nuts & some spares here spares there in order to save my mirrors...

well... i'm always the "mobile safety rover"... lol...

anyway, stock are good...

but not every stock stuffs are good...

you have to identify out which are the stuffs you need to replace...

yup... after super long riding, i feel that my bike is even smoother than before!

can use de la...

but only apply to those area that you will not be removing forever...

e.g is the frame plugs...

u wun be unlocking the nut there unless u need to take out your engine or do something to your frame right?

if u really need to do that, i'm sure there's no way you would wan to still keep the plugs for future use sake...

u can always get a new pair...

next is the little oval plastic cap thingy on the stem of your mirrors...

u dun need to use that in actual fact...

for my, i wanna trim one side of my plugs to make it look even better & smart! :D

bro, to correct you 1st, the rack is from sw-motech de...

m-technik do not carry sw-motech racks or it's stuffs...

m-technik only carry hepco & becker brand...

sw-motech is carried by biketech...

for this sw-motech rack, the metal rack itself is universal for the particular bike de...

the only thing is that you can add in this adapter plate to suit your likings...

if u like h&b boxes, u take a kind of adapter...

for h&b aluminium & plastic boxes, they are of a different kind of adapter...

if u like givi or kappa or trax, u take other kind of adapters...

to know which adapter u need to get, u need to look at their catalog...

catalog can be downloaded from http://shop.sw-motech.com/cosmoshop/...

you can noticed that my side rack are already up with the adapter plates but not my top rack...

i'm keeping my top rack adapter for the time being till i got my top box...

for now, it looks real slick to see it this way...

back to the arguing portion you mentioned...

to order online is definitely more expensive than ordering from biketech...

you will receive your goods perhaps much earlier if you order online, i can't confirm on this cus i'm not the person who go thru this method...

i have my needful time to wait for biketech to get me my racks...

you can do your own maths, i get my full side rack set for around $450 and my full top rack set for around $280...

lastly, order online & order from biketech do have a common thing in mind...

that is you need to install it yourself or bring it to your favorite bike shop to do it for you...

for me, i'm a diy kind of person...

i diy it myself inclusive of re-wiring blah blah sh!t...

good luck bro...
