I only tried removing the one at the end - it's screwed in place with an allen bolt, so it's easy to take out or put back. The down side is that the mod is also very easy to spot.

 

Tell me more about these other methods you mentioned ;)

well, the other way as i told you before that was done on my silencer is to cut the silencer. Scorpi silencer has this blocked end at the other tip which is inside the end can. you just need to cut this away n make it hollow. then the natural sound will come. but bottom line, even when cut, you still fix the silencer. physically outside, it will be seen as original but the sound is "enhanced". i repeat, "enhanced".

 

hv u done the certification inspection? do it before "enhancing" anything.....

 

Yeah, I remember your method - sounds like the most promising one for now. And I'm ok with an "enhanced" sound, I don't need to sound as loud as an F1 car :D

 

I'll be doing the certification on Sat, so of course no messing around until then! Hope to do the mod immediately after that.

 

The only concern I have with cutting the silencer is: what if I get caught and have to fix everything back? This does not seem easily reversible... o_O

Bro mike, if u wan & dun bother of risking of scratching the internals of ur nice looking scorpion exhaust wif an aftermarket silencer, look for me.. I still have it from my previous bike.. It may fit u.. But dun ask me y it will scratch it.. Long story.. Unless kopi on u.. Hehehehehe! :D

Dun worry, keep the end n if anything, usually nothing la, touch wood, u can just weld it back. Then it will be back as ori.

I duno if it is a 04 model.. I only know it is 1 yr old.. So how much will it cost? How much does 1st hand fazar6 cost?

 

 

I bought my FZ6S 09 brand new last yr April.

the silencer is just a piece of metal. can always fabricate another 1.. :)

go for inspection bro. i think i'm going to vicom kaki bukit to follow my fren inspect n certify his yoshi FS n probably drop by at UM this wednesday if time permits.....

Inspection I can only go on Saturday - no chance of leaving office that early on a weekday. Spoke to Ah Beng at Bikeworkz about this, he said it should be ok. Don't worry, I already said - I'm not planning on making any mods before the inspection :)

hmmm does tat means i got more than 1? 1 for a story, 1 for the tire pressure guage? :D

One for the pressure gauge too?? Ok lah ok lah....

 

One for the story only if you find and bring the silencer part :p

I thought of that too, but AhBeng tells me you can't buy the silencer pipe separately. And other brands don't fit also. Guess it'll have to be fabricated if it really comes down to it
