thks bro here for the tips and advice =D went to bikeproduction to see bike as i know thy got a fazer there selling 16+++ k with akra and power commander . but the salesman seems not interested in serving me =.= but mostly will get naked model . looks nice to me =DDD . hope my TP pass and soon i can join you all

Thanks bro for the info. From the look the tyre seems to be quite ok. It is not a new tyre, mine is 2007 model FZ1, I just took over the bike recently; current tyre is "Metzeler M3".

 

I have got few recommendation about new tyre. One of my colleague's cousin also riding Fazer Gen1, he recommended to change to Michelin Pilot Power 2CT, whereas my another friend recommended Michelin Pilot Road or Bridgestone. Any recommendation from you guys about which model of tyre i should get?

wad tyres r u usin nw? threads still alot or botak alrdy? mebbe u should check wif a mech whether ur bike all r ok since u juz got it recently. who noes, touchwood, u have other probs too

 

Is it a brand new bike? If yes, then it's because there is a layer of wax for new tyres, will have to ride carefully until it's gone before you can start to ride it normally. Secondly, the stock tyres for FZ1 is like s*** on wet roads, one of the worst i've ever encountered. Hope it helps

 

bro, do tell us if ur tyre is new, then u need to run it a bit. it's like burning off the wax layer that protects the tyre for shipping purposes. then if it's not new, what brand is it? cos some tyres r mainly good for dry weather but a bit slippery when wet. u have to understand the power of FZ1 as well as any 1litre bike, the torque is powerful so sudden surge in throttle power will spin ur tyre on wet surfaces. then comes if ur tyre thread is worn off, this one no need to tell la. looking at ur condition, becareful in MSCP as it is very very slippery, even with good tyres.

 

one thing need to know, no matter how good ur tyre compound is for wet weather, if it's raining, still need to be careful, especially if just after rain stopped as the road will have patches of water n oil which makes it more slippery. if during raining, the rain will wash the oil off the road.....

Hi Bro, I need some suggestion about tyre / wheel.

 

Yesterday was my first day riding on wet road after getting my FZ1. I was feeling my rear wheel is skidding even when I was riding on straight but wet road in a very low speed (~40 Km/hr). The feeling was so bad that one point of time I wanted to park the bike on the road side and wanted to wait till the road condition gets better. Today evening feel skidding again (raining was just stopped at that time) but didn't feel the same problem when ride under hot sun.

 

Is it my tyre need to be changed or any other bike / wheel related problem or is it simply my riding skill or experience is not good enough for riding this type of powerful bike.

 

If tyre need to be changed, any suggestion for good performance tyre? I don't intend to go for racing, but I want to have a tyre that is good for normal riding in Singapore both in dry and wet road condition.

Check the tyre wall for the manufactured date.It's a 4 digit number as week and year.Eg; 2410 means 24th week of 2010.Hope this helps

hello guys. finally got my fazer.

 

not very pleased with it, kicking myself for being in such a rush to get back to work that i missed the damaged fork seal and non-firing third cylinder.

 

got back from a petrol run, and wanted to reset the trip meter, and realized that the reset button is not functioning, and the digital clock is 13 hours late.

 

going to bukit merah to let the salesman have a piece of my mind. and then head to the mechanic to order my brackets to mount my boxes, as well as get the repairs done that the salesman should have taken care of last week. sheeit. so. annoyed.

 

If anyone sees a grey FZS1 2005, FBC plate, give me a holler. I am going to be spending alot of time playing HAWX on my phone waiting for the mechs to be done, tomorrow being a saturday and all.

Little choice, brother. WSR have little choice, and little time to venture to Ubi. Would have preferred to purchase at ubi, but having to make the trip down there every month whenever i want to pay my installments.
