Been wanting to DIY the cat removal so finaly had a go today. At the same time gave the brake caliper pistons a good scrub till they are shiny again and changed out the brake pads. Good to DIY cos the motor shop mechanic will never clean the pistons for you when changing pads, at least that is my experience.

Hi guys. Any gen1 users here done an exup system service? Mine is jammed, and removing the valve, mechanic reports that the spring holder for the doohickey is missing. I'll have to check a service manual to see what exactly is missing.

Jamming is one thing, but I find it odd that the tachymeter doesn't show error 7.

I'll be sending the bike for a service at Hong leong, see what they have to say.

Will it affect emissions test during inspection?

I am not too worried about the inspection cos there are more vehicles on the road that pollutes more. :cheeky:

Here is a snapshot of my bike. Will be riding up to Thailand next month so had a box fixed to the pillion seat, fugly right.(Have a silver rear seat cowl for swapping out when I don't want it to be fugly ) Anyway you saw it here first.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

huh? did you screw the baseplate directly onto the seat? Also, I noticed your pillion grab rails are missing, so i could be wrong about the plate screwed onto the seat.
