i'll try sin ming tmrw morning see how. . . .

I cleared at STA Sin Ming oso ~ 45mins (with a bunch of ~20 TPs inspecting their bikes)... the guy there said let the TPs wait a while (anyway so many of them) might as well inspect mine 1st...i really appreciate that.

Hello fz1s! im gg to thailand soon! any tips/advices for me on what to service for my bike.. engine oil, voltage, tyres, chain.. other than that?

and anybody know where i can patch up my boot instead of the local cobbler beside MRT? now got mouth liao.. anyone who could recommend somebody/some shop who could do a super patch up!

I knw i out of nowhere ask this type of questions. im sorry, just need a lil advise with experience bros here.

Sounds like your bike is good to go. Are YOU good to go?

Nothing wrong with those cobbler, though my favourite cobbler isn't peddling at boon lay shopping center anymore. Just tell them you need to stitch, not just contact glue. Will cost more, but last longer. But if Mr. Minute doesn't stitch, then I got nothing to say.

Edit: dyac!

i know the cobbler at imm near burger king can do stitching.. west coast plaza also have a cobbler that does it.. definitely more ex than glue.. but definitely last longer as well.

hi guys.. i need some advises from those seasonal tourers who always patronised NSHW.

if happen ur bike to breakdown or met wif an accident somewhere. what would u do.. or rather how would u seek help?

cz i juz came back from a trip fom kl- total wif 13 bikes.

otw back one of my friend fall asleep and hit the ride side of the kerb at NSHW. Miraculously, he managed to stable his bike and pull at the side of the road.

however he broke his right arm due to the impact.

at that time 2 motorbikes stayed wif him and stop a passing by car behind them. thankfully send my injured friend to kulai hosp. leaving only 1 person behind to look after the 3 bikes by himself.

bear in mind that the time was 4am in the morning roughly 10km after pagoh riding towards JB which was dark and misty.

At the front were a total of 11 bikes stop ahead rougly 5-10km away from the accident scene.

the question is: wads the best solution to retrieve the 3 bikes left behind.

those at the front already called the plusline no and they did came dwn bt wasnt agreable to tow away the bike left behind to the nearest toll

as according to them only faulty vehicle are allowed to be towed away.

any suggestion guys?

Wah. Broken right arm can still control his bike. Your friend impresses me.

Your convoy has no pillions at all? If you did, you could have just asked them to ride the bikes down to 2nd link, and call bikebulance from there.

Or you could call bikebulance direct, and ask the fellow on duty to pick you guys at kulai. Not cheap, though.

If i counted right, you have 14 bikes. 3 riders at the hospital, leaving 11 bikers and 14 bikes. Just get 8 riders to second link, get 2 riders to stay at second link, and 6 riders on 3 bikes back to the accident scene. Get these 6 riders back to the scene, and distribute the riders to bikes.

Its going to be a grueling 2 hour job getting the bikes back though.

Anyways, its 1am in a new day. What did you guys do?

actually that is wad we did, all the riders at the front went to the nearest toll( if im not wrong, and then 3 bikes have to u turn back to retrieve the bikes left behind.

took us quite some time to get back to the accident scene. lucky it was just around 50-60km riding back..

do anyone noe any local knowledge about NSHW whether there is such 24hour tow service provided by their local mechanic..?

Or you could call bikebulance direct, and ask the fellow on duty to pick you guys at kulai. Not cheap, though.

bro, i'm happy for your plans. godspeed and may u ride safe n have a good time as well. some of our bros here are experienced tour riders and they might give you good tips as well. watever it is, just be vigilant n if u decide to patch up ur boots, do remember that they will lose the waterproofness. mr minute in tampines mall or century square did a good job on my boots....ehem....football boots.......they cow glue it n stitch it. expensive it may be but certainly last another lifetime. you will never be well equipped but most important be well ready.......have fun n we will be waiting for u to come back n share the experience....
