Thank you Grandmaster pichudot. Can I trouble you a bit more? As you know I know nothing about bike performance or tuning, I just know how to ride only; your tips are really very helpful.

Apart from RPM not stable, recently I also feel like bike has lack of power during travel; a bit slow in response when i try to accelerate. So far bike never stall, and I thought I am too sensitive. My mileage is quite high, now it is 86K and I took over from 65K. So, in my next servicing, may be I'll get the ignition coil assy checked. I don't have any power commander or other performance accessories, and running the stock exhaust. So I believe for my case may be I just need to tune the idling. Or is there any other things need to be tuned or serviced?

hey flyingeagle.. don't listen to seahmh's bullsh!t on simi grand master.. he simply just watched too much kungfu panda with his kid la.. hahaha..

what i know or i had experienced, i'll share.. if i have no comments or no share, it means i'm a newbie in that area.. hahaha..

do u have the servicing record for ur bike from the previous owner? if no, perhaps u would like to check on the area on valve clearance & throttle body sync or some full/top servicing for ur bike becus it's pretty high mileage now..

if ur bike is gen 2 06-09 model, u could check if u got FCE installed or not.. FCE is called fuel cut eliminator.. below URL for ur reading on its info..

Tks Grandmaster pichudot. Due to my long break, I've lost touch with motortiams. And previous owner claimed he clocked 5000km since last servicing before handing to me.

To be safe, I'm thinking of bringing my new baby to service. So I need advise on which motortiam is good with Frazer, what type of EO to use, any need to change spark plug, coolant and price range that is reasonable.

My tyres are also 50% there already. So can start sourcing for brand and model of tyres and of course their price.

Oh ya, my baby comes with ABS. Any additional care or servicing required?

Wx, like Seahmh have mentioned, you can remove the battery and bring it to bikeshop to charge or replace it since you have already lifted the tank to reach to the battery.

OR tow your bike to bikeshop and have the battery charged/replaced.

OR get someone near you to jump start your bike for you to get to bikeshop. ikea (queenstown branch) is your backyard? someone stays near queenstown. :cheeky:

OR push start your bike. (all my bike i push start before, only my current bike i am not able to do so, sad to say.)

Opposs... Like that also kenna spotted... lolz.. :cheeky:

@ wX: Yes, I stay in Queenstown. In fact, just a stone's throw away from IKEA, if you are really staying near IKEA Queenstown (and not IKEA Tampines).

Though I cannot help much in mechanic and electric stuff, if you need some help for someone to pillion to bike-shop or whatever, I should be able to help. :)

Cheers.

Servicing wise are all the normal stuffs like change engine oil every 5k if u using full- synthetic oil and 3 to 4k if use semisynthetic oil. Oil filter try to use OEM filter and change it after every 2 oil changes. Advisable to do a full service if u just bought your bike. Spark plug can change to iridium plug for better and longer lasting performance ( 1plug for $18 ). Flush your old coolant out and change to Maxima cool-aide (about $18 a bottle ). U can wash your air filter and TBS at the same time . tyre wise, Michelin Pilot Rd 2 is very good in dry and wet. Long lasting too. U can go to Bikeworkz or Planet to service your bike . price reasonable. Check your chains ,sprockets, battery, clutch cable , front and rear wheel bearings for a piece of mind.

Omg, it's a long list. Tks for all the advise. Guess I've to make the trip down soon and leave with a lighter wallet. It seems like more costly to maintain a bike then a car.

Not really.iridium Spark plug can last 20,000km. Coolant flush and change every year. Every 10,000 km , wash air filter . TBS once a year. The rest are replace it when spoiled. I prefer preventive measure rather than breakdown along the red than change. Up to each individual owner and his pocket. Ride safe.
