actually the black ones on my fz6 are Hepco crash bars, they came with the original stickers when i got it but i took them off. chk out the picture of my bike to get a view of the crash bars. if u are looking for something like those in driving centres, think really have to custom make cos those are really big.

just go ahead and get it lah. h&b for fz1 simply looks kewl (much better than it looks for fz6) . i think it will provide adequate protection. if not ask moka to take photo show you. he used to have a set but recently went to sliders instead.

some but of information that you might not know:

"The FZ's dual 300mm front brakes with low-rent twin-piston, pin-slide calipers from Akebono feel as if they have decent strength, but they are let down by a mushy feel; the adjustable brake lever was called into play to prevent the lever from coming back to the bar when maximum braking was called for. The rear brake, with 220mm rotor and single-piston Nissin caliper, is numb and easy to lock."

The new FZs ??

I feel my brake for the FZ1 is rather powerful. However for a bike with a higher

centre of gravity than the R1/R6s ...... think stopping the bike safely after hard

braking should be comparatively more difficult.

oops... that refers to the post-03 fz6s.

pre-04 fzs600 (front only) and pre-06 fz1 (front and rear) uses 4 pot sumitomo for the calipers. the braking is superb.

"The widely acclaimed monobloc brakes used on the R1 have become symbolic for being examples of what you should expect from brakes. The FZ1 has the same pair of 298mm discs gripped by the same four-piston Sumitomo calipers as the R1. At the back there's a single disc and a single piston unit."
