cobra exhaust pipes on valkyrie

am putting the shine back on a 1997 valk tourer, the OEM pipes and headers are almost impossible to find but i have a source with six to six cobra slash pipes, which look and sound gorgeous.

 

does anyone know if this will be a problem for the authorities, how do you check which pipes are permitted?

hi doc, LTA approval for exhaust is a ***** unless there is a distributor here to do the paper work for you... if not, you ought to fit the exhaust bring the complete documentation of testing from the country of origin and preferable approved ones by LTA (you can get it from LTA website) and then proceed for testing. Please be reminded that inspection may not passed based on noise and emission level. Hence, it will be good to get the exact specs from manufacturer and tester and then compare it with the specs required by LTA....

 

it is an hassle but worthwhile effort..
