Hi Bros, I observed that in MyCarforum (MCF), many are using CarLube Fully Syn 5w 40. Price $40 for 5 L . 1 L bot is $9. Many claim there that 10k oci is safe. 10k oci for cars is very standard practice for cars. Its the equivalent of 5k oci for bikes.

Now, I notice that the same brand has 5w 40 fully syn for bikes. Though the brand is CarLube, it states its for motocycles. Also

ne1 tried? Any feedback? Say, based on 5k oci? TIA.

from what i understand, car engine oil for engine only. they have transmission oil for transmission

bike engine oil used to lub both the engine and transmission and clutch, so there's a lot more debris

Yes, I understand this. But what I meant is that though the brand is "carlube", they actually have a specific range for bikes. Eg, The label on the bot indicates its for motorcycles. Hence, I am curious if any bros here use these budget oils for their ride & if so, hows the feedback?

Tried OWS pkg end Dec 13 on my Ver S. Just changed eo in Sept 14 after 12450km. Bike is strictly for daily commuting. The feel of riding is a subjective matter so to each its own. For me, I think I pushed it a bit too far. Prolly needs to change by 8000km max. Some will say every 5000 for eo :?

Stretching your EO that far is not worth the damage-to-come

Bare in mind, s4 is a hi rev bike

Rather use mineral oil n change often then stretching tat extend:lol:
