to monitor ur batt voltage... average batt life span is 1yr to 1 1/2yr... change the batt if u see the voltage going lower... riding with a batt with low voltage causes electronic components to malfunction... u can also see that ur batt is charging wif the volt meter... i think that's the volt meter for...

after R&D for awhile under my block... finally come to a conclusion... connect to fuse is the correct one... i'm 14+V after starting my bike... which i think is the correct voltage... thanks for the tip Paiseh... i also found a perfect spot to mount the meter using some simple bracket...

If so LAB sellin this for $30 . but he said sell to me for $25 once goods arrived

should be same i think...

bro wat value is it charging?n wat value is iding?

idling should be 14V... riding should be 14++ near 15... with headlight on

IIRC,

idling at 14V is considered too high...ideal for idling is 13.5V - 14v

ideal charging is between 14-15v while riding...

oh well..... makes no difference to some i guess.. ;)

hey guys ... i connected the digital voltmeter to a fuse and ground ... idling my reading is 11.8V. then rpm ard7k is 12.8V. But when rpm goes higher, the reading goes down .. so my peak reading is ard 13V at low rev .. any idea wat is wrong?

could be voltage regulator... or rectifier...

btw your volts are very low...

12V battery switch off engine after a relatively long ride should be around 12.9 volts.

riding charging should be between 13.5-14.0v

Put silicon around the gaps and tape up with black tape. -ve to bike frame and +ve to fuse in the fuse box and per the thread starter.
