Hey guys... going down under to melbourne for a week or so.

does anyone know what the rules there w/regard to foreign licensed riders and/or where i can rent a bike?

much thanks

Haha. I was there for my studies.

Not too sure where to rent bike but license-wise no problem when you want to rent car.

When in the city, there's a funny method to turn right. You have to keep left to turn right(when there's a tram rail). I know it sounds wierd but do look out for these things when you are down there.

It's only applicable in the city area of melbourne where there's a tram rail. At the traffic junction, if you want to make a right turn, you have to wait on the left most lane(In SG, to make right turn, you wait in the right most lane). When the traffic light turns red, from the left most lane, you make a quick right turn.

I can't really explain to you coz its hard to put it into words. You have to see for yourself. Just be careful coz the traffic in the city area quite congested.
