still can get the spare mah??

actually lookin for one....

powerfully bike...

anyone lettin???

if u want to get the spare part, you can still get

but it depends on how much you want the spare part

some people just can't be bothered, then in that case i will advise them to buy new bike

for me, i dont mind to wait for them to bring in the part from japan

i don't mind ordering certain (not that many actually) parts from uk and wait for them to ship here

i dont mind spending money and wait (and wait) for shop to strip the rust from the tank inside and outside, coat the inside of the tank and then respray... in order to stop leaks once and for all

i dont mind having the bike lying around for months and months

i dont mind spending thousands of dollars on the bike... so long as it is repaired properly and the problems dont come back

I dont mind spending time with the bike while it is being restored and doing part of the work myself to ensure that everything is done nicely

alot of people i met mind that though

ask them to order spare part from japan then they start to kao peh already

she's not a bike that you can just throw to shop and ask them to rebuild, most of them either wont touch her with a barge pole or will just chop u left and right

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

well said bro swiftee, only those with a serious passion for 350s (and other classics) think alike. i agree with u 100%. wannabes, stay away from bikes which u don't have the passion and patience. i suggest u just enjoy the pics or better still, get a new ride! most of us have seen or heard way too many stories of wannabe owners. and rebuilding one is not as easy as a TAMIYA MODEL KIT!!!! but we are open to discussions and other stuffs of common interest. nice ride u got there bro. did u have the decals sprayed or u ordered them? they look sweet!!!:thumb:

hi all, i have yet to join the rd/lc family but can't agree more that there are loads of people who would like to restore a machine but baulk at the costs and time incurred.

if 1 doesn't have the time, you get a machine that someone has rebuilt but be prepared to pay for it!

i like people who rebuild machines and go into the details of it. it shows passion and love for biking!

haha... thanks. i got the decals sprayed, it was cheaper and i'm not really going for a showroom kind of rebuild. the respray was done by yeow motor. im quite satisfied with it but it's not exactly cheap though...

seems like people have been looking for tongs (and also other classic bikes) that are perfectly mechanically sound so that they can do the cosmetic work only... ya sure, the cosmetic work is the fun part, everyone loves doing it. it's the mechanical part that is the tedious part... if someone bothered to do the mechanical part he'd prob do up the cosmetics too, and then obviously the bike wouldnt be so cheap then... and these ppl's idea of mechanically sound is rather unrealistic sometimes... strange people
