I need some help. The wife is getting on at me to sort out the bikes, and I need a couple of things doing.

 

I am ready to rebuild my 350YPVS 31k engine, but need some one who can blast and clean the crankcases. Not bothered about mirror finish, but clean enough to paint.

Also, I could do with a cylinder head as mine has scratches on the ypvs.

 

Same for my 350 tong, but possibly going to need crank brearing doing.Where can I get that done for a decent price? Or is there a good shop I can hand the engine to who can do a strip and rebuild, cleaning and painting and renewing bearings (possibly rebore too)

 

Will do the YPVS engine myself, but don't have time to do the tong one...

Saw a tong at Bangkit carpark, Bukit panjang there. It has a flaming/flame painting on its tank.

good day bro, why don't you clean the casings yrself? get a can of paint remover, a copper wire brush with long bristles and a pair of rubber gloves. it's cheaper than sending to the shops. i've done a few casings myself that way. as for the YPVS on the cylinder, u can sand off the scratches using semi fine sandpaper and polish off with autosol and fine steel wool(buy from mamak shop). for the tong, u can send it down to AH KOK at kranji loop(62691692). he still does 350s and other 2strokes. it'll be easier if u can pass him all the new parts to save on time.

guys i know this is abit hard but if anyone know where can i get a replacement for the micron canister please let me know. accidently drop the bike and caused one of the canister to be badly dented. ARHHH

Hi bro, why don't you send it for knocking (panel beating)? Is yours made of steel or aluminium? The latter is easier to knock back into shape.

From what i know they don't sell micron endcans for 2 stroke anymore. Or you can try evil bay.

Are your endcans embossed with micron? Then i can understand your feelings...You can try other cans if u like. For starters, you can try Ah Kok-62691692. He's good at panel beating for 350s and other bikes. Located at kranji loop off woodlands rd. Good luck bro!

i'm still stuck at the moment. involved in a project at the west area. should be able to continue by end of this month.

u can try auto machinery(rowell rd) or ban hoe leong(jln besar rd) the latter being slightly ex or more.

some mechanical stuff are the same thru out the yamaha 2 stroke range. eg: rd/lc 125,250,350-steering yoke bearing, coolant oil seal and certain bearings. pm me if u need help. i'll be glad to assist!

sure rzboy will keep u inform......for nw nt doing my lc as i broke my ankle...... aft recover will stat to fix up as nw finding new parts to replace those spoil parts for the lc....
