yes bro it belongs to the person who sold the red/white 500. both were at raceworks for some touch up or repairs when i last saw it. the yellow/black was not a factory colour for the 500. the owner wanted something unique, hence the kenny roberts special. if i'm not wrong, he's still holding onto another 500.(total 3 units). one sold, left two.

i'm not sure abt that bro. i only learnt of the theft from this forum. could be another person's bike. anyone care to enlighten us? that goes to show one should not be complacent with old bikes with value.

Huh, he lost the chasis for a 500? was it a rd500 or some other bike chasis? Interested to find out how does one just lose the chasis only....

I met the owner of the 2 RD500 at Rcwerks. We had a long talk over a beer and he sold me one of them for reasonable price....

but there were some conditions attached which i will not disclose.

 

i am actually meeting him in an hour to touch up the bike. I havent decided when i am going to put it on the road yet thou.

Will post pix when im done with it....May take a while thou. Parts needs to be ordered etc. I did manage to get a overseas webbie that has loads of stuff for the bike but not surprisingly at a price. From your post, i see you ride a Lc 350. Got a fren that crashed and is looking for the meters. Any lobang? Surprisingly, the actual cover was not damaged but the internal faces were....

Do you mean to say that you can get a set of new tong meters for $1000RM? I have a friend who may be interested. Not possible to find new ones here but there is one person with 4 or 5 nice sets that he got from the UK. Not sure if he still has any left though.

I have also been looking for new meters for some time now but no joy. Even used ones over here are not so easy as well. Your fren can consider using TZM meters and they can be mod to fit and run....... better than nothing right? Is your fren considering selling this bike by any chance?

Not sure if this is accurate but there should be 4 or 5 RD500 at least, as this figure has been mentioned to me many times. So if one person has 3, then there may still be one or two out there somewhere..... still got chance!!

For the meters, if the insides work OK, and you just have the problem with the case being bad, you can buy the front and rear case quite cheaply - try Norbo in the UK - RDLCCrazy, or even Ebay, and also repalcement clock faces for £20, and rebuild them like new.

 

I have fit a set of TZR125 meters on my YPVS for now. hope to replace with a Vapour clock eventually

hi guys. like i promised:1. chromed and polished parts, 2. engine internal components, 3. gaskets and oil seals, 4. a powder coated frame !!!! enjoy, more to come when i start to assemble!!!

 

Whatare those footpeg hangers? They aren't standard are they?

i believe he lost the 500 with the alloy chassis. there were 2 types: rd500-steel frame, rz500-alloy frame.

u try auto or ban hoe if u r looking for brand new original stuff. a cheaper alternative would be RXZ head fairing if u r going for custom looks.

those r TAROZZI racing rearsets. the owner got them on his overseas posting. i've seen a few on LCs down here. and they r rock solid!!! unlike the cheap n bendable racing boy types!
