I went to dat electronic shop at tanjong pagar today to buy the royal purple engine oil. Got it at $10.50, quite cheap isn't it? They r having some sales on the royal purple oil, so if u need to stock up, i think now is a good time to do it. Cheers.

i read the forum in france, they mod bike until chiong chiong (go-go) up to 140 kph but fc drop-drop to 22~27km/l, there it goes more power more fuel.

hey.. been following this thread for a very long time.. since it was in another section until now actually

 

hmmm i don't really ride a roadwin but a VT Evolution instead.. it's an FP plated bike which, unfortunately, started to release greyish black smoke

 

hmmm i've got the bike for over a year la.. and recently, when i drag gears especially gear 2 thru 4, can feel the bike 'coughing' and like something stuck somewhere..

 

so.. i took it to my mech.. the CKA at bukit batok.. then he ram and ram when the bike is stationary until got black smoke..

 

imediatelly he insisted i change my whole carb! he quoted $190 for a new one and $50 for a second hand one (a few years old)

 

ok assuming both bikes have the same carb (the roadwin and the vt evo), im wondering if any1 here knows the price of a brand new carb for the bike.. and... if black smoke is only caused by the carb.. because i suggested washing he carb.. he say no use carb old liao

 

then i said maybe air filter.. he said cannot be

 

then i said maybe air/petrol tuning off liao.. he say carb old..

 

now i don't know if i wanna go back and change the carb OR go somewhere else

just came back from JB... the guy there suggested i clean my pipe.. went deeper in and another shop suggested i wash my carb... went to another shop and they say adjust my air intake.. so since it was something small, i told him to adjust la.. after he adjust.. ram ram ram my bike then adjust somemore.. still got smoke

 

any other shop to recommend in SG where i can get reliable serivce? preferably in the west la.. thanks in advance bro!

Can someone tell me wat are the things/formalities/lanes they check for on exit & entry on both sides

u going in from causway or 2nd link?

if causeway, just bring ur passport n a white card for entry to jb, the white card can get from the malaysia counter where they check ur passport, dunno the white hut near the custom still got or not. u need to remove ur helmet at the singapore custom to check, malaysia custom no need. coming back also same

 

for 2nd link, ur passport n white card( which u must get from malaysia counter) n a cash card n 1dollar ringgit. cash card need to insert at singapore custom when they check ur passport.( u need to remove helmet). then after the malaysia cutom(no need to remove helmet) there will be a toll counter, pass the $1 rinngit to him n u can pass. coming back also do the same thing. therefore u need to have another $1ringit n cashcard when u come back to sing from 2nd link

oh tanx 4 tat clear reply katana, just 1 more info forgot 2 add... Which lane to use? Is there a separate lane for bikes custom clearence on both side?

 

And what is that white card for,? do u need to get down & goto counter to get that card?

Can use access card, is there any such automated clearence for bikers?

hi stsoh sometimes its tough to change gear especially when changing up from 1 to neutral to 2 and down from 2-neutral-1, i feel its stucked up sometimes, any idea wats wrong or it will be okay after break-in..?
